Peach Garden 1 for 1 Ala Carte Buffet!

There were hits and misses for the food:

Mini Buddha Jump Over the Wall πŸ‘πŸ» (only one order allowed!)
Crispy Salmon Fish Skin with Salted Egg Yolk
Roasted Crispy Pork
Signature Prawn Date in Thai Style
Smoked duck with special sauce
Chilled Cucumber with Black Fungus
Deep Fried Soon Hock Fish with Garlic and Superior Soya Sauce πŸ‘πŸ»πŸŒŸ
Steamed Live Pa Ting Fish with Minced Garlic in Superior Soya Sauce πŸ‘πŸ»
Sauteed Sliced Fish with Spring Onion and Garlic
Steamed Live Prawn with Chinese Wine and Herbs πŸ‘πŸ»πŸŒŸ
Fried Shrimp in Hong Kong β€œBi Feng Tang” style πŸ‘πŸ»πŸŒŸ
Deep fried Fresh Prawn with Wasabi Salad Cream
Sauteed sweet and sour pork with Lychee
Crispy Fried Chicken Wing πŸ‘πŸ»
Chicken Chop with Mongolian Sauce
Poached Baby Cabbage with Three Kinds of Egg
Fried Rice with Black Truffle Sauce 🫀
Fried Hong Kong Noodles with Diced Chicken
Chilled Lemongrass Jelly πŸ‘πŸ»
Chilled Fresh Mango Sago with Pomelo
Chilled Osmanthus Jelly πŸ‘πŸ»

We could put in special request for β€œsmall portions”, but even then, it was still at least for 3-4 pax portion. Only the desserts were served in individual serving portions!

Do note that there is also dining time limit for this buffet.

This 1 for 1 offer is valid only for min 4 pax. Available at the Metropolis (dinner) or Hotel Miramar (Lunch and Dinner). There is slight differences in menu for the two outlets. For weekend pricing, it is $78++ per pax before discount. Do also note the ala carte buffet price does not include chinese tea (we only realised when paying!)

Overall, I find this 1 for 1 ala carte buffet only VFM if you can REALLY eat. Otherwise, I think ordering ala carte with eatigo discount may be more affordable for the Peach Garden group of restaurants.

Last night dinner at @peachgardensg with ex colleagues

Fried Carrot Cake in XO Sauce

Fried Fish Skin with Salt and Pepper

Double-boiled Superior Fish Maw Soup with Black Chicken and Chinese Herbs θ―ζι»‘ιΈ‘η‚–θŠ±θƒΆ
The seasoning was slightly more on the heavy handed side. The meat was quite boney for my serving.

Roasted Crispy Peking Duck εŒ—δΊ¬ηƒ€ιΈ
Served wrapped in crepes with julienned cucumber and spring onions by the side. Don’t forget in hosin sauce
Not sure why but the texture wasn’t as light and crispy compared to what I had in past at OCBC outlet.

2nd Preparation of Duck
In Spring Onion and Ginger ε§œδ“€η‚’ιΈδ»Ά
Felt that the meat was more the tough side.

Pan-fried King Prawn with Superior Soya Sauce εΉ²η…Žθ€θ™Žθ™Ύ

Braised Homemade Beancurd with Baby Abalone and Local Spinach ι‡‘ι²δ»”θŠ™θ“‰θ±†θ…θ‹‹θœ
Was blow away by the size of each bean curd. So big!

Stewed Fish Paste Noodle with Assorted Diced Seafood and Minced Meat Sauce θ‚‰ι…±ζ΅·ι²œη²’ι±ΌθŒΈι’
The texture of the noodle was silky smooth.

Ended the meal with Chilled Mango Sago with Pomelo which pretty forgettable. Kind of missing the black glutinous rice served in a coconut with ice cream. Still remember the smoking effect.

50% dim sum was just a bait. Only about 6 dishes were on the menu and the original prices were already marked up. Considering that there was little selection of dim sum, the waitress then asked if we wanted Peking duck - there’s a 30% discount for Peking duck. And we only realised that half duck costed 68?! And second dish of fried mee sua costed 20. This is way overpriced and we definitely felt ripped off and will not return again !

The booking experience was quite bad but some form of service recovery was done. My friend booked on 12 Jul for 2 pax before the announcement of 5 pax. Restaurant calm there called all diners about it (min 4 pax) and cancelled their booking but my friend did not receive such call. When we went, we were informed about the changes and initially rejected us. However, my friend manage to reason about our booking was done beforehand and no called was done. In the end, restaurant offered us the buffet for 2 pax but charges is as of current price which we really have no choice but obligated to it. (From $24++ to $29++).

Buffet choice was ok and some few good dishes like steam fish, wasabi prawn and mango sago. If not for the buffet, I doubt I would be back.

Very filling!! 1 main + 1 meat + 1 veg + 2 dimsums + 1 drink + 2 desserts for 9.90 is seriously worth it and very fun to customize your meal
