Had the tasting portion for the Mentaiko Pasta with Pumpkin Rigatoni ($17.90)! Really loved the rich, creamy umami flavour and not forgetting the scallops which completed the taste. The green tobiko gave it extra colour and crunch making the pasta not jelak at all. The pasta was also cooked to perfection as well and it was a good combination that I would recommend!

We also had the full portion of the Chicken Aglio Olio ($18.90). The tenderness of the chicken, garlic flavours and chilli of this classic pasta made it extra flavourful. A must try for all Aglio Olio lovers!

Do note that the portion is a little small though, even the full portion wasn’t super filling, so do consider getting a side to fill your tummy too! And we waited really long for the food too… but I guess it’s worth the wait for good food! Will come back again maybe for lunch, hopefully the wait isn’t too long.

It was a tat too salty otherwise it was ok overall. Not fantastic or outstanding for me n family. Can improve.

I didn’t quite like it honestly because it’s quite ordinary and not super fresh seafood.

Truffle Cacio E Pepe ($22.90) comes with fusilli lunghi tossed in secret pepper mix, parmigiano, pecorino cheese and truffle oil. While the curly pasta has a very nice texture, this is a little too peppery for me and the truffle flavour is not very prominent as well. Do note that there are no other ingredients in this pasta - you can add on other ingredients like bacon ($2.50) or scallop ($4.50) if you wish to.

Lamb Merguez ($23.90) came with lamb merguez sausage, paprika, pomodoro, fresh mint and Meredith goat cheese. I was a little worried that the goat cheese and lamb will be too gamey, but they turned out alright and this is actually quite tasty. We chose Pumpkin Rigatoni as our choice of pasta. I like that the tube-shaped pasta is al dente and picks up the sauce nicely.


We ordered 2 full portions and battered soft shell crab, spent ~$19 each
Top: Pasta Alla Vodka with squid ink tagliatelle ($18.90 F - $13.90 T)
Bottom: Truffle Cacio E Pepe with fusilli lunghi ($22.90 F)
Both of us preferred the top one over the bottom as the cacio e Pepe was saltier/pepperish and didn’t feel worth for the price considering there was no meat and the pasta felt a little like bloated fat Maggie (a bit too doughy for my liking)
Battered soft shell crab ($9.90) was so-so
Final price with Burpple upsize is 2 full portion price minus the lower tasting portion price
