Parliament Bar

Drinks post dinner. Reservation is a must during weekends as limited seatings.

Had their whiskey sour which was good. Well balanced. Their old fashioned was good too.

Music was quite loud (I was probably skewed due to my profession as an Audiologist 😂) judging from how my group had to raise our voices to communicate in the bar. Adding on which was a group seated beside us who were singing their lungs out to stereophonic.

Plus point: Service was with a smile - something I never take for granted, especially in Singapore. 🙂 And I suppose it's good that the prices are pocket-friendly for cocktails, in a non-pretentious environment to boot.

I don't quite know how to describe the experience here, though - perhaps "eclectic" is most fitting? I'd expected hard rock music (in line with their themed nights), but the playlist ended up being a mix across genres. Not a bad thing (the music was fine), but I couldn't quite put a finger on what their identity is supposed to be. Maybe they're still figuring it out?

Parliament Bar positions themselves as a dive bar, but IMHO it's not as rachet as any of the ones I've been to while living in the US.... & I mean that positively. Great to not need to worry about sloshing beer mugs & vomit fountains around you.
