All I can say is that one can easily have better (and cheaper) wanton mee in our humble hawkers and markets. $4.50 is pricey for something that tasted pretty normal. It was decent, but unimpressive especially when they charge so high. They seem to pride themselves on their fried wanton, but with that expectation, it still tasted like a normal fried wanton I’d get outside. Perhaps branding and pricing can become a marketing tactic or illusion to deem what’s delicious, but this really didn’t get me mind blown. Service staff was kinda aloof too.

Cheap and affordable.

Not so bad.

Noodles is springy and sauce is good. Chilli have to take yourself.

you get a generous portion of fried yun tuns with your new, and the pickled green peppers are a nice addition to this delicious bowl of mee.

At $4.50 for small portion...I won't say it's super cheap especially since service and ambience is at the bare minimum no frills.

Decent but not quite as good as when I use to have it on an almost weekly basis more than a decade ago. The main reason being the fried pieces of pork are much thinner now which means a less satisfying mouthfeel when you chew but at least, they are still tasty from the marinade. I don’t see the point of getting the small serving because it only has two slices of the meat. Makes more sense to opt for the large and add a fried egg.
Actually, this isn’t even the signature dish at this eatery. It is, like their name suggests, the fried wanton mee (they do it with a dark sauce) that most people come here for. I haven’t eaten it myself in years but judging by the tables of customers having the #friedwanton noodles that day, I’m guessing it is still very popular.
