I'm not one who tries peranakan food regularly. But we've been craving for fish head curry for a while, and decided to give this place a shot when we passed by this place on our afternoon off - helped that there was a promotion going on, and that it was not peak hour yet.
The Assam Curry Fish Head really did hit the spot - slightly spicy, slightly tangy, thick assam curry with generous amounts of vegetables (definitely appreciated!). Also savoured the ngoh hiang, chap chye, otah in the promotional set meal. Service was good, food was good - we were happy and contented at the end of the meal. A worthy highlight for our afternoon off, a great start in this budding perankan food journey!
Truly the best fish otah I've eaten in any Nyonya restaurant. It has slices of fish meat within the paste. Really yummy yummy yum yum. Posted by Ah Leong San 2016 March 14
