After having savoured their great Hokkien Mee, I had to return to sample their other dishes. The char kway teow was just as enjoyable, boasting the stall's signature smokiness that's a common trait across all their offerings. With an indelible balance of sweet, salty and savoury, the flavourful noodles were al dente and not at all oily. Pro-tip - go ahead and add fresh cockles for an additional $1.

Kopi Soh Eating House
Tampines St 81
Indelibly smoky and umami, the hokkien mee at Heng Heng Delights boasts the right amount of sauciness without being too wet. It comes with 2 big, firm prawns, slippery sotong and most importantly, lots of nuggets of crispy lard. It comes with a sour and spicy sambal that compliments the noodles quite well. This hidden gem of a stall also sells carrot cake and char kway teow, but unfortunately the coffeeshop it’s in is closed for renovation till 1st Sep.

Xie Bi A Vegetarian Delights is a vegetarian food stall in this food court at Tampines, open early in the morning serving beehoon and wanton noodle.
Their wanton noodle is a very simple kind of meal to begin the day with. On the top you will find the crispy beecurd, veggies and wanton in soup.
