($10) my mum insisted to order mutton briyani ah but then I felt that their mutton was quite soft and not that hard (overcooked) tbh. I wanted to order this but my sister halt me ah. 🫣🥹

($7) I never tried the murtabak and its gonna to be first time ah. But I felt that the sauce was quite thick and a bit spicy taste. The roti prata was quite slightly overcooked tbh. Overall, I will be returning back for different flavour instead of chicken.

($9) my sister she wanted to order their mee goreng lol but then they didn't sell on weekends 🫠. In the end, she decided to get fish briyani lol. Good thing that they deep fried fish before putting gravy inside. We just literally went back to try different dish on their menu. Fish was quite fresh and not bad smell tbh.

($9) I didn't expected that I will be takeaway briyani for dinner last week :") Their briyani got a bit uncooked but their curry gravy got nutty and creamy texture so I really like their gravu tbh. Chicken size was quite smaller in size tbh but the service was quite for takeaway as they alr packed briyani on the boxes in plastic bag.

This is a hidden gem in Kampong Glam - relatively quiet and cosy environment, with authentic and ornate decor that spans two floors in an old shophouse. Perfect for tourists and locals alike; an Instagram-worthy place as well!

Prices are quite affordable, and the Peranakan food was authentic and tasty. We shared the buah keluak chicken, Nonya chap chye, homemade ngor hiang and tahu telur. All of the dishes were great, esp. the tahu telur and Nonya chap chye.

This place also takes reservations, and the wait staff are helpful and can take good photos for you too (: Greatly recommended - will be back for future visits!

Zam Zam used to be one of the places to go to for murtabak. However, the clout surrounding the brand for its negative publicity and aggressive touting have led to many unpleasant experiences. In spite of all these, if the food remains good, it is still a place to visit. But, how the mighty have fallen, and fallen hard. The murtabak had a very thick doughy texture while the minced beef filling was tasteless, not even the curry was able to rescue it. Probably give this a miss the next time you think of visiting this institution.

Known for their murtabak, I've had their rendition since young and their quality really stayed roughly the same over the years!

The Mutton Murtabak ($7) was my favourition, with heavily seasoned minced mutton sandwiched between prata dough. The dough is slightly crispy on the outside and chewy within. Paired with their curry, this is one comforting dish I will crave from time to time!

Their Chicken Mee Goreng ($10) also came in huge portions. The noodles were well fried, as they were al dente while being very flavourful! The spice level can be quite high for this one, and it got me ordering drinks together with this 😂 the chicken may be a little dry, but the marination was what got me going for more.

Definitely a place I will come once in a while to get some quality supper fare. Can't wait to be back!

We didnt know what we should order from penny uni tbh and literally scroll thru burrple. Decided to order turkish eggs ($14) but felt disappointed on soft boiled egg 😅 and my friend said sourdough bread slightly hard to chew thru. I literally removed spicy sauce from the dish as I didn't really take spicy lol.

I felt that matcha latte ($7.50) quite sweet (a bit matcha taste) and milky, need to shake it before drinking as matcha powder didn't just dissolved it off that fast.

Someone suggested for spiked muddy ($7) and taste not bad and not that acidic taste for coffee.

Love everything about this cafe/bar. The ambience, the food, the drinks, it’s all amazing. The shakshouka and the waffles are probably the best ones I have tried in sg. It’s amazing and the portions are huge. Though pricey, I would say it’s worth it.
