Roti Keping Butter Kaya (RM 3.20)
Crunchy toast with a thick slab of butter and a thin spread of kaya. The butter adds an extra layer of richness to elevate the toast beyond the ordinary.

Telur 1/2 Masak (RM 2.80)
Savoured two wobbly half-boiled eggs – a classic experience when drizzled with soy sauce and a sprinkle of pepper. For an added treat, dip your toast into the runny yolks.

Kopi (Cold)(RM 4.50)
A shiok ending with the icy cold coffee boasting a rich, sweet, and milky taste. A perfect brew to wrap up the journey.

Thick, chewy noodles and vegetables immersed in a rich, curry-like gravy. The curry falls somewhere between asam and dried shrimp, offering a unique blend of coconutty, fishy, and spice flavours. Think of it as a Malay version of spaghetti bolognese.

A simple yet tastisfying delight. Fragrant coconut rice paired with a generous serving of sweet, savoury, and spicy sambal with ikan bilis. It tasted so good that we packed several packets for dinner during the train ride back.

Concluding the trip with the best meal at the train station.

Nasi Lemak Bungkus (RM 1.70)

A hearty recommendation, and I suggest opting for the normal noodles for a richer and tastier experience. The original noodles boast a bold and slurpy texture, absorbing the curry flavours even better than the Kway Teow option I tried. It's safe to say this is one of the best noodles I've ever had, prompting me to do some research on their supplier. I was delighted to discover that their noodles are sourced from Chop Eng Tin, a traditional noodle maker since 1950, committed to a preservative-free approach. These noodles stand out, resembling the eggy Hong Kong noodle type rather than the typical yellow noodles with alkaline taste.

Now, back to the curry mee. The scrumptious bowl features pig skin, char siew, fried beancurd skin, fried beancurd, five spice roll, and beansprouts. The generous portion of ingredients enhances the overall experience. Adding to the happiness is the savoury bean paste sambal chili, providing an extra layer of umami to the dish. The subtle spicy kick at the end is just awesome.

No doubt, I'll be returning for more of their exceptional noodles and perhaps a visit to the supplier to bring some home.

Old-school cendol that's truly worth savouring. Crafted with fresh coconut milk, palm sugar, red beans, smooth pandan jelly, and a generous serving of shaved ice, this cendol is a must-try when you find yourself in Kluang. The harmony between the sweetness from Gula Melaka and the fresh creaminess is simply exquisite.

The famous cendol in Kluang that has been serving for many years. Recommend to add pulut hitam to complete your dessert.

There’s glutinous rice inside the cendol, which I find it very interesting.

One of the popular foods you can find in Kluang, and you actually can find them in 2 locations.

Botak Curry Mee has a very aromatic and strong taste, which I find it more on the sweet side rather than the spiciness.

Topped with fishcake, cockles and char siew.

People visiting Kluang should be very familiar with this place, which consider a must whenever you are in the town.

Malaysia’s oldest coffee shop in a railway station, this place already start flooding with crowd as they open early 7am in the morning.

Serving local style breakfast and dishes with their aroma coffee, you can’t go wrong getting some of their bun and toast. And of course their coffee is a must as well.

Back again after close to a year. Nice and saucy black sauce wanton noodle with tasty char siew. Comfortable to eat for a morning drive.
