Chef hawker Nancy Lim set up her stall in December 1986, and has gained a loyal following over the years.
.
Their rice is a stand out, fried then infused with ginger and spring onions, giving it a fluffy texture with grainy savoury sweet earthy flavour.
.
The chicken, poached or roasted, has a bouncy tender juicy satisfying chew, with natural sweet savoury flavour. Interestingly, the sauce differs from elsewhere, being light with sweet savoury notes, highlighting the freshness of the meat.
.
The crunchy sliced cucumbers with vegetal sweet notes, lovely warm clear chicken broth, and trio of dipping sauces round out this meal.

While most people go for the chicken rice at the nearby stall or at the Main Street. Personally I love this auntie who prepare and serving you will a very happy smile and kind. $3.50

The meat was so smooth, tender and good. The kind done so good you could see its collagen jelly underneath the skin, if you know what I meant. It's rice was spot on, fragrant individual grains cooked perfectly. Simple as they were, the chilli with ginger and dark sweet sauce were quintessential to completing the dish.
You will find several chicken rice stalls around Whampoa food centre but this is one you should check out, one that shines like a star in my opinion.
