Genimatcha Latte (+ $0.50)
I really like the genimatcha mixed with milk and got that strong roasted taste for this. The Genimatcha powder didn't absorbed well with milk and left on the bottom of the drink.
Signature Chicken Katsu (+ $2.50)
I really like their toasted bread as it's got nutty and crispy aftertaste. But the sauce is not that strong and prominent as I thought and also not that heavily as I think with another brand that I have tasted last year.
It was love at first sight as we split open the sando. Although sandos are already a trendy cafe food these days (and we see them on social media all the time), this sando looked deliciously refreshing! Its crisp green lettuce juxtaposed with the spicy red chicken was a good combination of healthy and yummy.

Looking for a chill cafe in the โhood let us straight to the doorsteps of @mondaycoffeebar - a small, pleasant, and unassuming place right in the heart of AMK. Mind you - it is quite a walk from the MRT and our expectations did grow along the way! Hereโs what we got on a relaxing afternoon:

This sure looked like a matcha latte and tasted like the in between of a hojicha and matcha latte. We guess this was the earthy flavour of the roasted brown rice? We used to be all about iced lattes but now hot ones are really starting to grow on us HAHA

The chiffon sponge cake was extremely fragrant and BOY the earl grey scent was STRONG! The layers were super cleanly iced with vanilla buttercream on the outside and earl grey lavender buttercream in between the cake layers. However, we werenโt the biggest fans of the texture of their buttercream - it got a little too heavy and almost seemed like the cream is a separate component itself.
