Rich umami-laden soup is served with straight noodles, grilled leeks brushed with prawn oil, and a whole binchotan-grilled lobster tail.

Starting off with the Deep Fried Edamame ($12), this is an addictive bowl of greens that is fried with wagyu fat and seasoned with black pepper salt, which I just can’t stop eating it. For the teppanyaki dishes, we had the Sakura Chicken Kinome Yaki ($28) and Myoshi Wagyu Gyoza ($38), the latter is filled with a mixture of wagyu A4 and A5 beef and served with a garlic chilli oil that elevates the dish even further. We shared the Wagyu Yakiniku Donburi ($88) which was one of the best dishes of the evening with the charcoal grilled Japanese toriyama A4 wagyu beef, onsen egg and garlic fat rice. Just the sound of all these ingredients coming together and you will instantly know that it is going to be a flavour bomb.

Over at the ramen section, we had the Wagyu Shoyu Ramen ($58), Wagyu Dry Ramen ($58) and Lobster Ramen ($88). My pick has got to be the dry ramen as the noodles are tossed with niku miso (wagyu miso sauce) chilli oil and shoyu, giving it a nicely balanced aroma and flavour. Served on a hotplate for the dramatic spectacle, the noodles are topped with seared Australian wagyu striploin and a raw Japanese egg yolk for the added creaminess.
