My time at Miraku was nothing short of amazing. Every dish hit the mark, especially the fatty tuna and uni.

What made the experience so special was the chef - besides preparing our food, he guided us through the entire meal with so much enthusiasm and knowledge. My partner and I learned so much where the ingredients came from, how they were sourced, and even some behind-the-scenes details about the preparation.

This was such a lovely a culinary adventure. Highly recommend Miraku for anyone who loves omakase and is looking for a memorable, personalised dining experience :)!

I recently had dinner at this serene omakase spot, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The elegant interior and gentle music created a calm atmosphere, perfect for savouring each dish.

The meal started with a clean and refreshing salad, which was a great way to open up the palate. Their green tea was wonderfully fragrant and paired beautifully with every course. The Otoro was the star of the night—extremely fatty and buttery, it melted in my mouth–especially when combined with a touch of wasabi and seasoned rice.

An unexpected favourite was the Castella egg. Made with anchovies, it was an intriguing mix of sweet and savoury that worked surprisingly well. Overall, a memorable dining experience that I highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a well-curated and delicious omakase dinner.

Last week, I had the pleasure of dining at Miraku, located in Icon Village along Gopeng Street, and it was an unforgettable experience. The 11-course omakase meal was nothing short of spectacular, starting with a refreshing salad and a perfectly steamed chawanmushi.

The highlight was undoubtedly the wide range of high-quality nigiri sushi, each piece meticulously prepared and beautifully presented. The flavors were exquisite and showcased the chef's incredible skill. The meal concluded with a flavorful rice bowl and a refreshing sorbet, both of which were delightful.

The service was excellent, with attentive staff ensuring my experience was seamless from start to finish. The restaurant's modern interior and calming ambiance added to the overall experience, making it a great spot for a special occasion. I highly recommend Miraku for anyone seeking an authentic and top-notch omakase experience in Singapore.

To me, food is the highest form of art, and I was treated to a spectacle at Miraku! Started off with the A4 Wagyu chawanmushi, which was out of this world. It was so flavour-packed with tender pieces of wagyu, yet light on the palate. This set the standard for the evening, and the rest of the courses did not disappoint. Every single piece of sushi was of the freshest quality. Personal favourites were the silver beltfish, otoro and bafun uni.

Shoutout to Chef Ivan and the staff for the warm hospitality. Watching Chef Ivan masterfully prepare each course as he shared about the different types of fishes and preparation techniques made it truly an enjoyable experience.

Will definitely be back!

Can’t recommend Miraku enough! The chefs put in a lot of love and care into the entire experience and it really shows. Standouts for me were the shima aji, kamasu, melt-in-the-mouth otoro and the bafun uni but every course was very fresh tasting and had unique complements like rice salt flakes fron Japan as well. Really loved their shari with 4 different types of vinegar (!!!) and their amazing tamago that Chef Ivan explained uses fish paste instead of flour, but retains the mouthfeel of castella cake.

Food and beautiful interior aside, it was the warmth and attentiveness of the staff and Chef Ivan that made my experience at Miraku that much more enjoyable. Had a really fun conversation with Chef Ivan about the different types of fishes and ingredients he used, and you can tell he has a lot of pride in his work. Also loved that even the dessert has a story behind it!

Learnt from Chef that all fish is flown in from Japan 4x a week for top notch quality. Am eager to taste more of Miraku and can’t wait to be back!

I walked past Miraku many times but wasn’t sure what they served exactly. Taking the opportunity provided by the lull work period, I decided to give it a try.

I ordered their Sushi Omakase set and was served a delectable combination of Edomae style sushi. It was a 12 course dinner set that was executed well despite the simplicity of the menu.

It was my first time trying the Murasaki Uni which is a type of Shiron Uni (White Uni). While not as great looking as its Aka Uni (Red Uni) cousins, food should be judged based on their taste rather than their looks. I was surprised by the interesting ast profile of the Uni. Its combination of sweetness coupled with a tinge of umami taste reminds me of eating it fresh off the beds of the sea. It is about as fresh as you could get; short of you getting to Japan.

The amazing thing is that you don’t really taste the taste of the pungent smell that you would get from cheaper Uni.The Ootoro was another amazing piece. For once, it is not veiny like what you would get from the sushi chain outlets.

The chef would check in with us how we found each pieces of sushi and I could tell he took it to heart when he came back with sushi that had rice that was firmly packed after my feedback that the rice felt a little too loosely packed.

The meal ended with a Hokkaido strawberry ice-cream which, to my pleasant surprise, was more like a gelato in taste and texture. All in all a good experience that is worth visiting.
