The brownie was not bad, a fudgey kind, but the biscoff is quite plain, doesn't come through at all, it's almost just a biscoff biscuit on top of the brownie

Overall decent, nothing special

Open face sandwich. The tomatoes were super delicious: juicy and well marinated. Everything worked well, from the ricotta to the herbs and the veg. The bread was abit hard, I don't think it was as bad as the serene centre outlet tho, it only bothered me a little bit in the difficulty in cutting through

Worth a try if you're in the area

Frequented micro @ Serene centre before it became uber popular post-CB, have always loved the all-in brekkie and the flat white. Once the Serene centre became too popular, have been frequenting red house branch more often.

Micro Bakery's cinnamon roll was decent, as there was the pronounced taste of cinnamon, and the bread roll itself was really fluffy/airy too so you won't get too full from the roll. However, we felt that the roll was a little too sweet, so it might be more of a dessert pastry, than something that you may want to eat early in the morning.

Micro Bakery at Katong was really crowded on a weekend morning and they do not take reservations. Hence, you may wish to go early if you planning to head down in a big group!

We saw quite a few tables ordering the grilled cheese sandwich and we decided to give the dish a try as well! The mainstay of the dish is brie with a generous serving of mozzarella and cheddar cheese. You can pair the sandwich with the tomato jam served along the side as well. 😋

While the bread was toasted very well and was pretty crusty, we thought that the cheese was a little too thick and it was way too much for the sandwich! Furthermore, the cheesy taste wasn't really present. We think it might have been nicer if the cheese were more concentrated, and less cheese were used. 😋 That being said, we liked the tomato jam as the tomato flavour wasn't too overpowering. However, it might pair strangely with the cheese sandwich for some as you will taste more tomato than cheese if you use the jam as a sandwich dip.

The dish was decent and reasonably priced ($13++), but we have had better grilled cheese sandwiches outside before.
