4⭐ Department lunch at Merci Marcel after team bonding activity. Our table ordered few mains for sharing instead of ordering the set lunch and we get to taste a variety of dishes. The ravioles is good for sharing but cloy to eat as a main. The crab tartine doesn't have the fishy taste and surprisingly goes well with avocado. Prefer the bayonne ham than the saucisson sec sausage as it's less salty and it's texture. Ended the meal with their recommended dessert creme brulee and apple crumble which both are good for sharing too.

Smooth and good hot latte. Explains why it’s an unsurprising sight to see people there meeting over a cup of coffee.
Not my favourite apple crumble. Texture of the apple crumble felt more cakey and doughy than anything else. The taste of apple and cinnamon was also messy and confusing. The whipped cream at the side didn’t seem to value add the dessert as a whole.

Pretty decent steak for the price, especially when you purchase it with the lunch set. As the ala carte option is already $32, the 3 course set with an appetiser and dessert totals to only $36. What I liked most about the steak was the char on the outer layer, which gave a slight crisp to it as well. Steak was well seasoned and bearnaise sauce was a great companion to it. Ultimately, the angus beef steak was nothing spectacular to me, particularly with the texture being on the slightly tougher side.

Salmon rilettes were mild tasting and just a tad bit creamy, which I was hoping could have been creamier. The rilettes had a pretty apparent lemon zest taste, which was well appreciated because the salmon gave off a more than usual fishy taste. I did like the bread on the side to pair with the rilettes, perhaps because it was pleasantly soft and fluffy!

This is a sparkling wine brewed by the Maison Duval-Leroy winery in the Champagne area of Côte Des Blancs, Marne, Grand Est, France.
.
It has a bright clear golden green colour, a clear bubbly fizz, with aromas of red apple, ginger, cinnamon, and toasted white bread.
.
The body is bold, elegant, and persistent, with tastes of pear, almonds, broiche bread, and lime.
.
Has a delicate fruity bready sweet earthy flavour, refined and graceful, with a lingering finish.
.
A top-of-the-range, award-winning champagne.
