If there’s one thing our community flocks to Sri Petaling for, it’s this delicious dry ramen. The popular Nagoya Mazesoba (RM23) sees chewy noodles, minced pork, melt-in-your-mouth chashu, scallions, seaweed and egg yolk piled in a bowl. Burppler Brry Kh aptly describes it as a Japenese version of chilli pan mee. Enjoy an explosion of flavours — from the savoury pork to the tangy vinegar and the creaminess of the egg yolk. Once you're done with the noodles, you’re given a small scoop of rice to mix with the leftover sauce. Also share the juicy and crispy Pan Fried Gyoza (RM8).

The Japanese equivalent of local chilli pan mee 😂. Dry ramen that comes with extra rice to clean up your leftover sauce and ingredients. The ramen texture got a nice bite to it, other than that the mince taste like Chinese version 😅. Pricey at Rm30.00 for ramen without broth.
Trust the Burpple community when they say this dry ramen spot in Sri Petaling IS worth the drive. The broth-less Nagoya Mazesoba (RM23) sees thick noodles brimming with minced pork, scallions, seaweed, and an egg yolk. Mix them together and savour the umami bomb of flavours from the blend of spicy pork with the soy and mirin sauce, plus the egg yolk that adds creaminess. Pro tip: Don’t finish all the sauce with your noodles! They provide a small scoop of rice to soak up the remaining goodness. Ps. Spot their second outlet at Plaza Arkadia!

(Rating:4.5/5🌟) Nagoya Mazesoba🍜 (rm23) Love this dish not only because of the flavourful sauce but also the noodles texture quite smooth. The portion looked small but it’s actually quite filling. Their Ajitsuke Tamago (rm2.50) was much better than many other ramen shops’. Overall, a good dish! 😋

✨: The slight kick of spice from the pork mince and the richness the egg yolk introduced to the chewy noodles made for a perfect symphony of flavours and textures when combined. Like my first ever mazesoba at Hibikii (1 post back), I very much enjoyed the combination of the tangy vinegar and the creamy noodles. In comparison to Hibikii’s version, Hanabi definitely has more well-rounded and balanced flavours (Hibikii’s was quite heavy on salt).
💬: I only wish I lived closer to Menya Hanabi :( And that I got add-ons of cha shiu and a ramen egg 😢
As much as I enjoyed my meal, I initially doubted if I’d have any will to go back. Now that it’s been a good 2 weeks since my visit, I’ve got to say I have a craving for mazesoba 😭
Juicy and finely textured fillings with thin wrappers, dip some vinegar to accentuate its flavours
