Can’t believe my last time at Universal Studios Singapore was 11 years ago, and glad to found a chance to revisit the theme park.
Mel’s Drive-In located close to the entrance of the theme park and it is one of the popular place for the visitors to grab some burger, fries and shake.
As we wasn’t looking for something full, so we went for their brownie with ice cream. Definitely a good place to get some rest after all the rides.
I recommend trying out this set meal: bolognese burger + drink of your choice if you don’t mind overspending ($25 vs $10) once in a while…the design was terribly cute and it actually tasted good. Probably better than some Halloween meals I tried!

$6 - Milkshakes (Vanilla/Chocolate)
$6 - Onion Rings
Both my bf and i were elated to find quite a number of halal-certified places in USS. Mel's Drive-In was one of them. We wanted to go for something light and so ordered the milkshakes and onion rings. Maybe not that 'light' after all. But at least 'lighter' than having a burger and fries set.
The chocolate milkshake was good. Smooth and delicious. Vanilla milkshake, on the other hand, was pretty thick and not that smooth (probably due to the not-yet-soften vanilla ice cream?). Anyways, onion rings were average, just like any other fast-food chains.
Didn't quite like the feel of this burger; a tad stale for the bun and fried fish was really dry and stiff especially around the corners. Even the fries that came along with it felt as though it absorbed too much oil after being settled down without draining the excess oil ...
