Supposedly what made them famous. I'm not sure. These were very average. It felt like one of those foreign restaurant chains that did okay for being basic.

Basically Filipinos frying Chinese noodles. Don't. Let the Chinese do it. It's worse than the fried noodles you get at buffet catering. So salty too.

Still a milkfish lover, and more so if it’s deboned (never loved those teeny tiny bones πŸ₯²) - thus this dish. Marinated in vinegar with hints of pepper and salt, the fish was fried nicely and not oily

This fried dish can easily be achieved at home. Buuuuut where can I have my milkfish deboned here in SG, let me knoooow πŸ˜‚

Finely chopped grilled pork dish with a good amount of pork chicharon on top. Drizzled mayo could, yet again, raise eyebrows, but it added creaminess to the dish. Few bites from this sinful sisig fixed our really random Filipino food craving lol

Don’t forget your cup(s) of rice to pair this with, else too jelak

Filipino-Style Ice Kachang. πŸ˜‹

Max’s is known for their chicken, but I opted for one of their all-day breakfast dishes, Bangsilog ($12.80++).

insert any meat here> + silog is one of the breakfast staples in PH consisting of the chosen meat, fried rice (β€œsi”), and fried egg (β€œlog”). The ordered dish had marinated boneless milkfish (bangus) fried to golden color. I loved the fish, though note that I am super biased with milkfish. I always had it when I was young, but getting it here in SG is quite difficult, specially having it boneless. Garlic fried rice is normal, egg is too dry. Would be happier to have a fluffier scrambled egg and better sliced tomatoes πŸ˜…

Nonetheless, will come back and still order the same (for the love of milkfish)
