The chicken from Arabica Kebab at Marsiling Mall Hawker Centre offers great value at $12 for a half portion of spring chicken, served over flavourful basamic rice.
It's both enjoyable and satisfying, making it a worthwhile dining option.
Iced chendol to complete the meal.
Most people would queue up for the Lor Mee or Pork Ribs Prawn Noodles at Ye Lai Xiang, but my favourite would always be their Laksa. For $4 a bowl, you get the necessary fixings of boiled egg, tau pok, decently sized fresh cockles and fishcakes atop their thick beehoon, then doused with their creamy & flavorful laksa broth - very value-for-money & super satisfying! The gravy would have been more perfect if the hae bi savouriness was more prominent, but nevertheless delightful to slurp on with the thick bee hoon. It's not fiery spicy so spice lovers might appreciate it as much, though you can help yourself to more sambal. โฃ

Starting our morning right with ๐๐๐ฉ ๐ผ ($3.50) that came with 4 kaya toast pieces, 2 eggs and a kopi โoโ, and ๐๐๐ฉ ๐ฝ ($2.70) which was similar but without the drink โ๏ธ
Kaya butter toast: Very crispy thin! Just the right thickness of butter, kaya leaned on the less sweet spectrum but could be more fragrant. I liked how they used the traditional brown bread though number of butter slices was inconsistent.
Eggs: Yolks were soft and creamy ๐ณ
Overall, my dad preferred this to Ya Kun due to its affordability and decent quality!! Thereโs always a queue at this stall despite a few other stalls selling kaya toasts in the same hawker centre, and I can now see why after trying ๐

The broth was not too peppery, served with
Kidney and liver. The kidney is good, tender with bites and not iron taste at all. The liver was cut thick, not sandy and have bites.

Ordered a soup based Min Hoon Kuei for $4. The kuei has chewy texture as they are โpinchedโ and not roll flat. Deep flavour anchovy soup. It is rare that this stall still makes their fried shallots that has a earthy flavour to the dish. Good amount of meat and Chinese spinach added. A hearty meal. One of the best Min Hoon Kuei !
