Not the best claypot rice, but good enough and they have individual portions if you dine alone. The herbal are decent . Convenient location .
Had this KL Wanton Noodle ($5) and I like how thick the meat is. For being in a food court in a mall. I think is worth the price.
This bowl of goodness had me scrapping so hard to get those burnt pieces off that I almost broke the pot! 😂
📄 Claypot Chicken Rice ($5)
A gem of a Penang-style Char Kway Teow that was too good to not repeat. So after we wolfed down plate number one, I sprang off my chair to put in another order - also a large ($6) and with extra chilli as well.
We agreed the young man manning the stall, did a great job with the frying. The plate of rice noodles had proper “wok hei” and a respectable amount of beansprouts and chives. Unlike the Singapore-style Char Kway Teow which can be a little (or a lot) wet and sweet, this was dry-ish and savoury through and through. Which is exactly my preference when given a choice.
Supposedly this is the Malaysian version which is on the spicier side, but to be honest I didn't notice much difference!!! It was very good thought and I loved the amount of egg given. The whole mini food court is not bad but feels a bit like a bougie food court...
This is the best Malaysian style CKT found in SG. Usually the SG style is more to the sweeter side. This is savoury and spicy which is what I prefer.
The shrimps are fresh and has loads of chives and bean sprout in the dish. Fulfills my craving for a plate of Penang CKT as this has loads of wokhey and uses lard when cooked.
Verdict: 4.5/5
