And only when you do that, is your Lune experience considered complete. If you haven’t heard of Lune (you must be living under a rock btw), they do the best croissants in Melbourne. They offer a pretty wide variety of croissants, from your usual plain ones, pain au chocolat, and kouign aman, to amazing seasonal ones like Fig danishes, lemon curd croissants, and hot cross cruffins. I’ve been there countless times and I assure you, NONE of Lune’s creations have ever fell anything short of expectation. Actually they all went above and beyond lol. Seeing they’re not likely to come to SG save for the crazily packed Cafe Expo thingy, I’d say: anyone who heads to Melbourne, you better put this at the TOP of your foodie bucket list.

Oof these were pricey but so delicious.

The traditional croissant had a brilliant crumb structure and every bit of it was buttery but not cloying. It also had a wonderfully crispy outer shell (asmr worthy)!

The almond croissant was generously topped with toasted sliced almonds, and I liked that the frangipane filling was not too sweet.

The lemon curd cruffin was my fav bc the shape made the crispy outer shell very nice to chomp on, and the insides were very slightly less aerated than the traditional one but I preferred this! The lemon curd was tart and lemony, really enjoyed this cruffin :)

The croissants were pretty good. The jam/cream filled and the lemon curd had just the right amount of tartness vs sweetness. The ham and Gruyere was pretty good too. A bit on the expensive side for croissants though. #maneklady #manekwats #manektravels

It has since moved to a huge warehouse space in Fitzroy – a well-known café district in the city; with another store in the CBD (entrance on Russell Street at Flinders Lane). Singaporeans will also be happy to know that Lune Croissanterie will be taking part in Cafe Culture.
The event brings about some of the most well-known coffee and pastry names from around the world to Singapore for a four-day festival at Marina Bay Sands.

From 29 Aug – 1 Sep 2019, 10:30am – 6pm at Level 1 Hall C, Sands Expo and Convention Centre.

We arrived past 8 in the morning and could already see people streaming in. With a chic open kitchen concept and lots of open space under the warehouse building, this was indeed an attractive place to chill at, over a coffee and one of their renowned croissants.
We selected a few, including an original, chocolate, almond and cheese croissants. Their croissant by itself was pretty tasty. Thin layers of flaky crust with a light fluffy fill. Pretty much how a good croissant should be.
Although some might argue that their croissants couldn’t compare to that from France, but these were, in our opinions, already good. The ones with fillings that we tried were also delicious in their own flavours.
So the ultimate question: were these worth the queue? We will want to be able to seat ourselves and enjoy a coffee with the croissants after some queue. A pity there were limited seats at the cafe so for takeaways we think probably 15 mins would still be acceptable.
However, for S’poreans the KPI should be very different. If one can wait 2 hours for A&W, that will be nothing for these yummy croissants.

Crowd from all over drew by the insane trending IG post. I must said that I am very shocked by the price. Ranged from $5.50 to $13.50 for a pastry. .
.
They recommended the lemon custard($7.50) and sticky data ($13.50). .
.
For the lemon custard, Sour sweet took turns playing the lead on palate. But the dense interior texture hit a missing tone. .
Lastly I highly recommend the sticky data. Sticky data, caramelized walnut and fresh whipped cream. 😍😍😍
