Taste of Taiwan.

Portion small thou. And it's $7.30

Taste very good

This braised pork rice stand out from the rest in Singapore because of the pickled sliced cucumber. The tanginess of the pickled cucumber goes very well with the braised pork. Their onsen braised egg is also unique

Their Chives Pancake is also very good and an authentic Taiwan snack. They are freshly made and pan fried upon ordering. But at $8 for two pieces, it a bit expensive.

Yet for me, this is a place worth coming back to.

Today we ordered the oyster omelette around $10. A bit different from the Singapore version as this one is flat and very starch. It also has tomato syrup on top.

Overall we rate this dish 7/10. Too much starch and the oyster a bit small. Also serves good pork rice at $7.00

Order the breakfast longtong ($5) which is only available between 9-11am. The vegetable were crunchy but it was not flavourful enough. Maybe I should not have ordered a Malay dish at a Taiwanese eatery. Won’t order again.

Ordered the oyster mee sua($7). Comes with 5 rather big oysters, the mee sua tasted like what I had in Taiwan. They were generous with the chicken strips. There was an interesting twist, found Japanese cutter fish strips (those they put in the takoyaki) in the mix. Overall satisfying despite the slight saltiness.

Not exactly authentic but scrumptious nonetheless, the meat sauce had strong hints of spices and was very savoury. From the previous pics I didn't expect the egg to be marinated but it was so that's a nice surprise. The cucumber disks were also strongly marinated, cutting thru the richness of the sauce perfectly.
