Ordering system consisted of a hidden iPad in the table. Same thing for the utensils. Very packed and bustling. The soup was addictive. Only problem was that getting them to refill the soup took countless of requests.
The pizza crust at Cicheti is soooo good, I'd even eat it on its own. Loaded with quality ingredients, it becomes even more unforgettable. We had the Bismark, Carbonara and Quattro Formaggi, and all three were delicious. I must say though, the Carbonara edged out the others as my favourite as it had bacon :) The sole salad on the lunch menu proved to be the perfect accompaniment to our rich pizzas.
Sweet and savoury works well in this dessert. The cold, slightly firm egg custard has a deep richness that comes with a crisp maple-caramel layer on the top. Across that crystallized terrain are pieces of salty bacon crumble partially hidden under a flurry of icing sugar snow. Together, they form an interesting and enjoyable combination.
One of my favorite Bak chor mee in town. Ample ingredients and excellent chilli, extra noodles are FOC!
Savouring Melb's Best Croissant from Kate (@pcoffeebrewers) it is addictive!
Yes please! The Nonna Maria with chicken, mustard aioli, chips, onion and parsley. I think we may have found the best souva's in Melbourne! Just so good. I had the combo of lamb and chicken and went to heaven! Initial thoughts was that it was a bit small for its price ($8-9.50) but the souva's were bursting with flavour and ingredients. Money well spent!
Looking at ya! Quinoa & Parmesan Fritters with housemade salmon gravlax, avocado, poached eggs & dill hollandaise
