Came here on a saturday evening and we had a reservation so no wait required. We ordered soo much food because there was so much variety to choose from and i wanted to try them all!
I really enjoyed the Mentaiko Scallops - if you want a switch from the usual Salmon, try this! Their Tori Karaage was sooo good it was crispy on the outside and juicy tender on the inside. You can also try their pork belly skewers. The place has a nice vibe and outdoor seats are available too. We did not get to try their Sake but there was a lot of choices. Definitely a place for a group of friends for a dinner & drinks night out or even a date!
We tried Meadesmoore and loved it so much we had to try the sister outlet FBG (Fat Belly). I have been wanting to try this place out and so glad I did! It is also a steakhouse located beside Botanic Gardens mrt (a short 3 mins walk). They have outdoor seatings if you like a nice alfresco dining.
We had the Fried Camembert for starters. If you like mozzarella sticks or anything cheese, you will love this. It is lighter, softer and creamier (no cheese pull though). Paired with truffle honey dip, super addictive!
On to our main course, we had 2 different cuts of steak. Denver and Ribeye, Denver is fattier but if you are like me who prefers a good balance of fat and lean meat then ribeye will be great. Both are super tender and juicy. Honestly one of the best steaks i have had and i am really picky. You know the steaks are that good when no sauce is needed just a light dip in salt - perfection.
Of course, not forgetting our sides we had creamed kale and grilled broccolini. Both vegetables i do not usually order but it was really flavourful and had a nice crunch.
Ended our meal with their Tiramisu which i tried at meadesmoore and loveeed.
Overall, i highly recommend this place. I will definitely return for more. You need to try their steak for yourself you will not be disappointed!
We visited on Monday evening for dinner & wasn’t expecting a crowd! We ordered their signature beef ribs stew ($20.90 single portion, comes with a choice of glass noodle or udon, a bowl of brown rice and spice level from 0-4,), $12.50 crab meat fish roe rice ball, $16.50 cheesy tomato kimchi pancake, and $13.50 crab meat egg roll. We definitely over ordered for 2 pax but everything on the menu looked super interesting we had to try!
I have never tried beef ribs stew before and i am so glad i did. I asked the kind waitress how spicy level 4 is and if it is as spicy as the Korean spicy noodles. She said it is spicier so we decided level 2 would be good and yup it was just right! For a gauge I order zhong la for mala. Beef ribs was tender, the soup was thick and flavourful - more saucy than soupy. Great to pair it with the rice balls. Also, all rice dishes served are brown rice - healthy!
Kimchi cheesy tomato pancake was like a korean style pizza i love it. Crispy, tangy and cheesy! Something i would return for. As a person who love eggs i am bias.. the egg rolls were sooo good they are really generous with the crab meat too. It came with a honey mustard drizzle I believe. Really good.
I loveeee korean food and tried multiple restaurants but Masizzim have such a unique menu and quite a fusion? I tried 4 new Korean dishes & You need to try it for yourself too!
