Places I've Tried
We went here for dinner the other night, and ordered the 88 Pork Set B, as well as the japchae. The set came with a steamed egg and soy bean soup, all of which were absolutely delicious. The dry aged pork belly had to be our favourite part of the set though, and the variety of banchan provided was great. The japchae was good too, although it was a bit oily. The staff were great too, and were very attentive to us. Would recommend!
One Prawn & Co. had an interesting selection of prawn noodles and side dishes. while it lies on the pricier side, the rich flavours of the broth and quality of food make up for it. We ordered the Ngoh Hiang tasting platter, which was filled with a variety of crisp and tasty side dishes, as well as Tobiko Prawn Ball & Big Prawns. Overall, a tasty dinner that we thoroughly enjoyed.
I went to Meadesmoore last week with a friend to grab dinner, where we were certainly served a treat. The tendon & escargo starter was interesting, and we were delighted by our steaks and a refreshingly delicious tomato based side. The star of the show for me was the seasonal eton mess, with various textures and variants of taro that acted as the perfect finish to our meal.
We visited sometime in late December last year and it was overall quite a pleasant experience. The place was rather cosy and really replicated the "European wine dungeon" aesthetic very well. The food was delightful and interesting, each having their own recommended wines to be paired with. We really enjoyed the experience and recommend trying it out!
During our visit to Mazzo for dinner last week, we ordered the Wagyu Beef Burger along with a number of sides, including their cheese board. The ambience and the candlelit dinner experience allowed for a pleasant meal. Our host Sebastian and the waitress, Weiwei, who assisted us throughout the night, were really welcoming and rendered exceptional service during our visit. Overall, we had a wonderful night and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
