Stumbled upon this gem in the Orchard area as we were searching for a place to have dinner. It's a quiet French restaurant tucked away in Scotts Square with a lovely chic ambience. Get the window seats for a nice view of Orchard Road!
Ordered the truffle chicken ballotine, charred octopus and the pesto pasta. Was blown away by how soft and tender the chicken was and how flavourful the charred octpus was with every bite. The pesto pasta was a perfect blend of crunchy chickpeas with king oyster mushroom, perfect for those looking for vegetarian option. Very interesting dishes but be prepared to shell out a bit of money.
Visited 88 Pocha on a weekday night and it was bustling with lots of group gatherings. Services were a bit slow as they appear to be short-staffed bht the food was worth the wait. Fried chicken cooked to crispy perfection ans the beef ribs were soft and tender. Definitely has the ~korean drama convenient food vibes~
Tried the spicy pepper trio beef noodles after dinner at Niu Dian and it was so warm and filling. Had 3 types of beef cuts in the bowl and it came with a separate soup. Ordered the in-house bubble tea as well to finish the meal!
If you love your prawns big, youβll definitely enjoy this place. I ordered the braised pork and prawn noodles and it was like heaven on earth. The broth was steaming hot when served and the taste is really smooth and thick. Definitely try the ngoh hiang platter too if youβre eating with friends
Chill interior dining space with a great ambience to rest after a long week. The spanish wines are fantastic, this time we had the Semi Sec and Brut Rosado.
The truffle beef tartar was really tasty and full of flavor, and I really enjoyed the Jamon with catalan tomato bread which had a wonderful mouthfeel. Tried their braised beef as well - it was really tender and tasty.
A really interesting twist of the classic bubble tea with yoghurt! Bought the Mango Purple Rice Yoghurt and the Dragonfruit Yo-tea and was pleasantly surprised how good they tasted. The purple rice added a sweet chewiness texture to the drink and the yo-tea was a good blend of yoghurt and tea.
Had the rose cheese chiqueen - quite an interesting mix of cheese and chicken tenders with side potato wedges abd broccoli pieces. Satisfied my friend chicken cravings.
Durian mochi were creamy, fresh and really sweet, as requested. The price was also very reasonable, and not having to pick through fruits was a plus!
Delicious yong tau fu served with a generous amount of gravy. The fried tofu are especially delicious and goes great with the gravy. Wished I had ordered the rice instead of the Kuay Teow but otherwise everything was nice! super fast and efficient. Uncle at the front was so friendly and helped us to choose our dishes.
