Looking for Teh one
Overall a decent cup of teh. Just a tad bit sweeter than your average teh bing. Great that it’s on the milky side. Which is better imo. Comparable to milk tea’s in bubble tea shops (yknow without the pearls and stuff)
Personal score: 7.5/10
The teh latte is their ‘star’ drink and for good reason. When you first read the description of power teh latte you might be a little surprised at how they describe teh bing lol but it is extremely accurate! It’s light, rich and has just the right amount of sugar to enjoy the tea itself. Not as nutty as I’d like but it was a really enjoyable cup of teh bing. The kind of tea leaves they used tasted more like red tea instead of black tea (i.e a lot lighter on the palate). [$4]
The cafe latte is quite surprising also. It’s a sub standard version of Arabica’s spanish latte and i’m not complaining at all. At the time that I went, their flavour was speculoos. Hence the hint of chocolate and caramel in the coffee itself. The bitterness of the cocoa was the main taste for me and i definitely dug it. [$4.70]
overall an 8/10 for me. and i would definitely come back here again. when there’s a promo or when i can use burpple. if not, I’d really only come here if i’m craving for this particular taste and combination in a tea or coffee.
Time to talk about the teh at Lam’s Kitchen. This was much better than I expected from a cup of teh c bing at a small coffeeshop. It’s quite a good balance of tea, sugar and evaporated milk. Maybe a tad bit sweet. But worth it if you’re a little sugar deprived. Wouldn’t recommend travelling all the way there to get it though. And wouldn’t wholeheartedly recommend getting it even if you’re there since it’s $1.70; which is pretty pricey for teh c bing at a coffeeshop. If they increased the portion i might think it’s more worth while.
This Teh C Bing is from the store next to the wok hey store. Sort of directly opposite the nasi lemak and laksa store. It’s pretty decent, but the price is the main reason you should get it. It’s $1.30. Not as cheap as market places but definitely at least average or cheaper than coffee shops. You taste more tea than milk and it’s a good thing their tea isn’t bitter and stale. Probably the cheapest cup of teh bing you can get around the holland village area.
The teh bing at this place blew my mind. I’ve rarely tasted teh bing like this before. I love it. It has that strong nutty taste from the tea while being really rich and creamy from the milk. The milk and tea works very well together and really creates an enjoyable concoction to consume.
The Hazelnut coffee is really exceptional too. A little too thick for my taste but it was flavourful and rich. So if you’re into that kind of coffee, it’s definitely for you.
Had this at the new place opened next to the old Big Splash at ECP. The vibes were extremely chill. Would recommend coming here just for a cup of tea and relaxing.
