Bars Me.
Atmosphere is suitable for date nights or even business meals. Staff were accommodating and thorough, gave that extra explanation on each dish that was served and we appreciated that gesture.
Tomato Burata Soup was lovely - the subtle sourness opens up our appetite and was a perfect start.
Smoked Duck Pasta was creamy but light! Loved the refreshing take with yuzu and tangerine - the flavours were very well balanced with the saltiness from the duck!
Tucked in a quiet locale next to a plant nursery is Ten+ (Ten Plus) serving you beer, other achoholic drinks, coffee, bar snacks and an all day mains (suitable for brunch and dinner).
Love the atmosphere and the concept of modern day camping - many low table and chairs seats but there are also normal height tables for those who do not prefer. Saw groups chilling with beer towers and snacks under their big tents and love the vibes coming out from there.
Do order their Battered Fish Bites - we love this the most! Crispy thick and soft batter with a good amount of fish :)
Aburi Mentai Salmon Donburi - canât go wrong with anything mentai.
Szechuan mala karaage - could do with more mala ! But thatâs maybe we really love spicy ;)
Lychee Lager and Yuzu Lager - both are such an awesome close for us after a tiring day at work. Refreshing and not too heavy a taste tho itâs flavoured.
Recently visited True Cost after hearing some raves about it. Interesting concept of dining experience - good quality of ingredients used but you only need to pay just slightly more than the actual cost of the dish.
We ordered a Tuna Ceviche, Japanese Style Beef Tartare, Kimchi Fish Noodle Soup, Hoisin Pork Belly and Lamb Confit.
Especially love the Kimchi Fish Noodle Soup - we almost ordered a 2nd bowl. Doesn't have the super strong kimchi power pack punch, but instead so nicely blended into the sweet fish broth - no tinge of fishy-ness meaning the seafood is fresh.
Tuna Ceviche was a really good dish to start our appetites - what a refreshing take throwing in watermelons and strawberries to open up the pallets.
The Hoisin Pork Belly was so soft and juicy and the hoisin sauce wasn't too salty either - loved the pairing with carrots, it doesn't make it too savoury. Lamb was good too.
Great location for CBD goers that need a place to unwind with the colleagues after a hard day at work.
Would recommend the Mediterranean style grouper fish and Albondigas meatball - fish was fresh and the Mediterranean sauce was smooth and fragrant and even with a tinge of wok hey, meatballs were juicy and ingredients were delicious.
If youâre going for the spreads, the mix & match is worth going for with a group of friends - the portion is big as well. My favourite would be their baked eggplant and salmon pate.
For their cavas, we went for their Semi Sec Duc De Foix (Sweet) and Brut Reserva Duc De Foix (Semi-Sweet, Semi-Dry) which were both equally aromatic and flavourful.
Here for the first time and on a Sunday night so relatively quiet and didnât mind that at all. We ordered the Guinness Beef Brisket Stew, Crispy Chicken Burger and Babyback Ribs and of course, paired our food with a smooth Guinness.
Their stew was the highlight dish - served with toasted bread, the beef was cooked till soft and gravy texture was just nice and flavourful.
Love their soft and crispy brioche bun of the chicken burger and their flavourful crispy chicken !
Overall experience was good.
Atmosphere is great for date nights and business conversations at this steakhouse. Communal dining concept but of course there are some selections for individual. We also do notice that thereâs a âChefâs Selectâ option in case youâre not sure what to get - go Omakase style and enjoy the surprise that theyâll cook up for you! *Chefâs select only available from Mondays to Thursdays for dinner service.
Very highly recommend the Beef Tartare - not only is it beautifully plated but itâs silky smooth and glistens back at you. The flavour of the fresh beef was brought out so well. We also went for the refreshing Crudo and Baby Octopus too to start off as apps.
For the mains we were met with a beautiful medium rare wagyu - tomahawk and rump cut served with savoury Scampi Butter and light Borderlaise sauce. Love that itâs so tender and juicy, tastes best with just sea salt in fact :) Paired these lovelies with the classic Mac & Cheese and Maitake Mushrooms (mushrooms and sauce were really light and went so well with the steak!). Couldnât resist also ordering a Chianti to go with them too.
Had Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate for desserts - not as sweet as it sounds, so it wasnât too savoury after such a filling meal.
Great and attentive service for the evening, will definitely return.
Welcomed with a cocktail shot which perked up the pallete. Ordered their Bouillabaisse and Miso Salmon. Would give the Bouillabaisse 10 out of 10, amazing thick & flavourful seafood broth - a great way to start your course. Miso Salmon was sweet and light, the charred miso sauce melting above the salmon gave away not only a great smell but an appetising aftertaste. Overall, pleasant experience - suitable for date nights.
Cosily tucked between residential neighbourhoods and botanic gardens, is a cosy steakhouse that serves up gorgeously charred and tender steaks. Their 2GR Full-Blood Wagyu and Auskobe Wagyu - though both were secondary cuts of beef, we thought were perfectly seasoned and cooked (medium rare). We miss the fragrance of the beef already! We opened our meal with their warm toasted sourdough bread paired with their Burrata Cheese (Balsamic Vinegar completes it!) - these definitely whet our appetite. Can't go wrong also when you order their Thyme Mushrooms for sides, but also do try out their Creamed Kale, the cream sauce blew our taste buds and we loved it! Will surely return for more as it was a pleasant experience : )
A really cozy place for drinking and catching up with friends. Food was really flavourful - local and sichuan cuisines, particularly love their spices for the skewers ! Have a go at their fu lin noodles and mala dumplings (if you can take spicy) .
Like itâs name, Meat N Chill really does provide us with an atmosphere for a good casual dining and chillax over drinks and a couple of fine tasting ribs. They serve steaks, burgers and pastas as well. Ordered the Hickory Ribs and they were well marinated throughout and tender as well. Ordered the quesadilla and it was pretty average- could do with a lil bit more fillings. The rice on the side is a lil fry for me, but they have plenty of other sides to choose from so do not fret! And the portions for their sides are considerably large. The Apple blueberry crumble dessert was please try different, but would prefer the apples to be cut into cubes so that itâs easier to be scooped up with the spoon. Overall, pleasant dining experience and will return with friends.
What a place to retreat to for drinks and good food after a long day at work. Hereâs a place with an atmosphere that I love - vibrant and much warmth. A good place to chill with colleagues and even catching up with friends over drinks.
Well Izakayas are all about their alcohol! And their sakes here are such guilty pleasures. I had their standard cold sweet sake - easy to drink and great pairing with their fried dishes and grilled skewers!
Recommended dish to order is most definitely their homemade minced pork cutlet (Buta Minced Katsu). Canât find it elsewhere, and it tastes so good. If youâre an appetiser person, go for their Ponzu Beef - itâs a cold app thatâs light but bursting with flavours at the same time. Opens up the appetite right away!
