Brunch
Soft creamy scrambled eggs with truffle crème & briny popping ikura on crusty sourdough, a fancy touch to regular scrambled eggs made it 100/10! The other dishes and the coffee was really well prepared too!
Situated within CHIJMES is a cozy and minimalistic cafe. The bakes were good but the Smoked Duck Breast Focaccia was the one that stole the show, it was so yummy that I bought a second for takeaway! Coffee was good and the staff were all really friendly & engaging. Great place for an afternoon tea (coffee) break!
The coffee there was not bad but the food was the one that stole the spotlight. Ordered two of their âmust-tryâ mains, Fish Taco & Umami Pasta.
The Fish Taco was great! Crunchy taco shell with flaky deep fried fish accompanied with a sweet, savoury & slightly sour mango salsa, perfect combination! And the Umami Pasta, a harmony of flavours bursting in the mouth đ
Ordered the Okinawa & Sri Lanka coffee and both was good but didnât gave the wow factor.
Decided to check out Butter Bean to satisfy the bfâs craving for Kaya toast & soft boiled egg. The flavours of toast were eggciting, bringing new twist to our traditional breakfast toast.
Although the toast were quite small but itâs a filling and satisfying breakfast if you order the set that comes with either soft-boiled or molten eggs & a cup of kopi. Ordered the BBrĂťlĂŠe kopi latte, it was a sweet and creamy coffee but you still taste the integrity of the Nanyang coffee!! The curry omu rice was good if youâre looking for a more filling breakfast!
Highly recommend the BBrĂťlĂŠe Kopi/Teh Latte! đđť
We queued for 30 minutes before we managed to get our food and around 10 minutes into queueing to get a table.
Ordered 2 sets of toast, 2 sets of soft-boiled eggs, kopi & kopi gu you (kopi w/ butter). The bread came warm and soft but it was still very delicious as the Kaya wasnât overly sweet and butter was generous! The kopi was very fragrant and with the additional butter, it made the kopi even richer and smooth.
Being a young adult, dining there just brought us back in time to when our parents/grandparents have their breakfast.
After seeing Bread Yard all over social media for months Iâve finally decided to wake up early on a weekend to try them out.
My morning blues went away after the first bite, it tasted like an orchestra in my mouth. The perfect balance between the soft and buttery French toast, sweet and nutty combination from the banana & caramel and the star of the show, the bacon. The sweetness of the bacon made it less âfatteningâ to enjoy. The only complaint is that the ice cream has an icy mouth-feel.
We also ordered the Pulled Pork Eggs Benedict which was good as well and also cruffin to-go, which is quite normal tbh.
Itâs one of my bf & Iâs favorite breakfast spot now!
