Everyone probably knows Nobu for their black miso cod, but do you know their desserts are equally amazing?
Melon Shaved Ice with Coconut Cream, Fresh Melon, Coconut Sorbet and Shiso Syrup. It’s a super refreshing dessert with a tinge of sweetness, nuttiness, mintyness and herbaceous. A perfect dessert to end your meal with. It’s like the Japanese take on korean melon bingsu.
& yes, go for their black miso cod and all things under the sea ie sashimi, oyster, squid ink pasta etc. Their sashimi and oyster are all so plump and juicy while their black miso cod unlike any other cod fish, is lightly flavored, the miso ain’t overpowering and instead of the meat being flaky it’s actually soft and melty.
It’s a very good experience with superb service and as you know a little tad demanding on your wallet too!
It’s rare to find Beef Tartare in Singapore and if they do serve, it must of pretty good quality! Dining in @montisingapore kind of bring me back to Italy times, where the food is so good and everything is so fresh. The tartare was creamy with the yolk and complemented well by the pickles and red onion sorbet on a bed of cookie crumb dust alike texture. Their House made Spaghetti Aglio Olio E Gamberi has a rather unique flavor. Unlike a typical aglio olio which can be dry and oily, it has a creamy buttery flavor with some sort of umaminess to it. The quality of their hand made pasta really resembles that of the ones I had in Italy.
I love their exquisite cute little handmade dim sum with a naughty play of East Meet West. Escargot cheese puff?! What will be the first thing that comes to your mind? Interestingly, you have that crusty 酥脆 puff and within is a piece of escargot and semi hardened cheese. Something really unique. Beside that, I really love their truffle duck! But just hoping that it could be a little bit more tender!
