-Honey Mustard Chicken Leg ($14++)

-Onion Rings ($6++)
-Truffle Fries ($8++)
-Calamari Rings ($8++)
-Chicken Quesadillas ($12++)
-Peach Lemonade ($6++)
-Strawberry Lemonade ($6++)

My top favourite item was the Honey Mustard Chicken Leg! It was so juicy and tender! Loved the honey mustard sweet sticky sauce too! The mashed potato was also so smooth! My second favourite item was the Mushroom Soup! Super thick and velvety!

They have a pool table here for you to play too!

These premium lunch sets are available daily from 11am-2pm, and you can choose from a wide range of food items ranging from noodle, stew to rice sets!

Featured here are the following two lunch sets:
-Soybean Paste Stew Set ($20++): This soybean paste stew soup will warm your tummy! Super love the rich seafood taste for the soup! The soup is also slightly spicy, which i love! This stew comes with prawn, mussels and flower crab! For the seafood lover!

-Jajangmyeon Set ($23++): For jajangmyeon lovers, check out this! A substantial portion of noodles is given and it is super qq chewy! I also like how the meat here for the jajangmyeon sauce is not minced meat, but visible substantial thick pieces of pork meat!

All the set comes with the kimchi sides, mochi balls, drinks (barley / coffee / soft drink) and the soup for the day!

Check this place out for your next lunch!

Make @planadessert your Plan A place for desserts!

Here at Plan A Dessert Cafe, they specialise in Snow Ice / Korean Bingsu, made from 100% meji fresh milk!

Their bingsu comes in petite, small and large sizes, and in many different flavours! Featured here is the Mango Yuzu (Large size; $17.90).

This bingsu had very fine and smooth ice milk shavings, with fresh mango cubes! Loved the citrusy yuzu twist to the typical mango bingsu! This also comes topped with roasted almond flakes and light whipped cream. There is also surprise in the bingsu, as it comes with dried cranberries and even CORNFLAKES!

Bookmark this place for your next dessert spot! Best spot for gathering with friends and loved ones too!

Roasted Crispy Pork
Signature Prawn Date in Thai Style
Smoked duck with special sauce
Chilled Cucumber with Black Fungus
Deep Fried Soon Hock Fish with Garlic and Superior Soya Sauce 👍🏻🌟
Steamed Live Pa Ting Fish with Minced Garlic in Superior Soya Sauce 👍🏻
Sauteed Sliced Fish with Spring Onion and Garlic
Steamed Live Prawn with Chinese Wine and Herbs 👍🏻🌟
Fried Shrimp in Hong Kong “Bi Feng Tang” style 👍🏻🌟
Deep fried Fresh Prawn with Wasabi Salad Cream
Sauteed sweet and sour pork with Lychee
Crispy Fried Chicken Wing 👍🏻
Chicken Chop with Mongolian Sauce
Poached Baby Cabbage with Three Kinds of Egg
Fried Rice with Black Truffle Sauce 🫤
Fried Hong Kong Noodles with Diced Chicken
Chilled Lemongrass Jelly 👍🏻
Chilled Fresh Mango Sago with Pomelo
Chilled Osmanthus Jelly 👍🏻

We could put in special request for “small portions”, but even then, it was still at least for 3-4 pax portion. Only the desserts were served in individual serving portions!

Do note that there is also dining time limit for this buffet.

This 1 for 1 offer is valid only for min 4 pax. Available at the Metropolis (dinner) or Hotel Miramar (Lunch and Dinner). There is slight differences in menu for the two outlets. For weekend pricing, it is $78++ per pax before discount. Do also note the ala carte buffet price does not include chinese tea (we only realised when paying!)

Overall, I find this 1 for 1 ala carte buffet only VFM if you can REALLY eat. Otherwise, I think ordering ala carte with eatigo discount may be more affordable for the Peach Garden group of restaurants.

Elegant bake box from @theheadlessbaker!

Featured here is the elegant box ($16) which contains the following items:

💛Lemon Pistachio Tea Cake: The prettiest of the lot as it was topped with rose petals and crushed pistachios. Classic lemon butter cake as the base. This cant get any better!

🧡Earl Grey Lavender Tea Cake: For earl grey lovers, this will be your favourite! There are bergamot and citrus bis in the cake too, so it was quite like a fruit cake to me. Very fragrant!

💚Pandan Gula Melaka Tea cake: As an avid pandan lover, this was the first cake I picked to attack! Fluffy pandan cake base that is topped with gula melaka icing!

💗Hojicha financier: Financiers are small french almond cake. This was made with roasted hojicha powder! At first I thought I will prefer the matcha over hojicha, but I ended up preferring the hojicha surprisingly! It had a natural sweet taste!

💖Matcha financier: Rich matcha powder is used to make this financier! Flavour was very robust!

The cakes can be kept at room temp (in an air tight container) for up to 2 days!

📍Holland Village XO Fish Head Bee Hoon Restaurant

Dined here once super long ago when I was a kid. But I still had fond memories of this place. This is how good the XO fish beehoon soup is! The XO soup was so fragrant! (Do note there is no soup refill allowed haha) I super love fish slice soup because no bones! So much easier to eat. Fish slices were fresh too!

For a 4 pax portion, the fish beehoon soup costs $20. We also got a plate of prawn roll (medium size, $16) to go along with the meal. But it was quite funny that they only had sweet spy sauce to go along with the ngor hiang and didn't have the sambal belachan kind of chilli or the other typical kind of sweet sauce you will expect for prawn roll ngor hiang

Finally ticked off Bakery Brera from my list of to visit food places!!

They are located near farrer road mrt. Combine it with an exercise session to nearby botanic / lornie nature corridor / macritchie reservoir!

When I stepped into the stall, all the baked goods were screaming "buy me buy me!" to me! And im very much a croissant / puff pastry person. I ate them for every breakfast meal when I went for a work trip in Paris (because it was the cheaper food and I loved it)! Felt as if I was back in Paris in this small shop located at the first floor of HDB. But then, the prices here are more pricey compared to typical Singapore breakfast standard. So I could only afford two pastries 😅

Dine in (3 small tables outside the shop) and requested them to heat up the pastries for us. Swipe right to see our cruffin opening ceremony video 🤣

🥐Matcha cruffin ($5):It was my first time trying a cruffin and I quite liked it! The matcha lava wasn't too bitter for me. Just nice. But yep the price tag guys

🥐Kouign-aman ($4.8): got this instead of the Brera's Kouign-aman ($5.5) because of the price comparison. I must say this kouign Aman is more crispy than tiong Bahru bakery's? We could also finely peel each layer by each layer to eat it

Second time is the charm! Visited the two chefs outlet at bishan years ago and didn't quite fancy it. Remembered that I ate the milk powder pork rib and went nahh what's so nice about this thing.

Fast forward a few years, visited the commonwealth outlet this time. Hesitated whether to get the milk powder pork ribs, and went ahead with ordering it. Turns out to be a good choice because this time round we greatly enjoyed it! Sweet milk powder with super soft pork ribs with no bones! Plus all the food was served quite fast and hot! Other dishes which we ordered include the sweet and sour fish, hei zo meat roll, seafood tofu and chaotah beehoon! We wanted to orfer the claypot tofu initially but it was not available when we visited.

Dined here on a Saturday night. Queue was relatively long but fast moving. And btw, no point calling to reserve seats beforehand. We called to reserve, but ended up we still had to queue up like everyone else. So no need to waste your time to call. Just head there early to queue. 😅They will take your order for the dishes before you are seated.

The bill for this meal for 4 pax was only $43.5! Affordable and good tzechar. Great for family gatherings!

As for the banana foster french toast, everything went well together surprisingly! Special mention to the candied bacon which didn't turn out as weird I expected. The caramelised bananas in rum was also very well executed. It wasnt over caramelised sugary like some other place that we had tried from before. Will recommend this cafe!! I ended up not trying the cruffin (croissant x muffin) because super full after this meal! Will be back again!! 👍👍👍

Visited bread yard last weekend! Surprisingly the place was CROWDED when it was a sat afternoon at ulu one north! Guess everyone will flock to good food no wonder how ulu the location is. was glad that we could get the Banana Foster ($16+) with Burpplebeyond! Along with the much raved Pulled Pork Benedict ($14+). I was veryyyyy satisfied with both dishes! The star of the pulled pork benedict dish was the pulled pork for sure! And I liked the spicy peri-peri sauce that accompanied it! The spice and everything was perfect. This is by far the BEST pulled pork dish I have had in Singapore!
