Having read the review from @veronicaphua a few weeks back, I was excited to finally try the hotdogs here. I hate having to ration the toppings on my dog, yet unfortunately I had to do so for my Phife Dawg ($14), which otherwise had tremendous flavour with its beef chilli, hot sauce, watermelon relish and smoked Applewood cheddar. I’m usually not one for comparing wieners, but do check out her review (and portion) on her page.

There is an underlying piquancy in the background, from slices of raw red onions and pickles—the sharpness and tartness a required addition to cut through the rich meat and plenty of sauce which, although appreciated, caused the bottom bun to succumb to a state of relative sogginess. Damn. Good. With a perfectly charred and well-seasoned exterior, the loosely packed meat was moist and had a great mouthfeel, with sweet grilled onions and a killer sauce, between a tasty, pillowy potato bun which was sturdy enough to support the burger; the Rosita’s Deluxe ($15) was a delight to eat. The Yardbird Chicken Sando ($20) featured a katsu breast which would put most chicken sandwiches to shame—fried crispy yet not dried out inside, but having insufficient tartar sauce reduced its pleasure. The Chilli Burger ($20) and Chilli Fries ($10) shared a beef chilli with an intense meaty flavour. @parkbenchdeli @rositasdeluxe @yardbird One year is too long a wait.

[MBS] Oh so sinful, but so very good. The iconic DB burger ($45) of @dbbistrosing, surely does not fall short of our expectations of a luxury burger, with the medium rare sirloin patty stuffed with generous servings of foie gras, black truffle and red wine braised short ribs, all between a Parmesan bun. The patty itself was amazingly juicy as well; the delicious meat juices trickled down my arms as I sank my teeth into it. Served with fries, it makes for a very filling dinner. For the big eaters, be sure to also try their Coq Au Vin ($38). Oh, and did I forget to mention their extensive cocktail menu?
