For a no-frills mookata experience, look no further than this nondescript stall at Berseh Food Centre in Jalan Besar. Affordably priced at $20 for two, the mookata set at this Halal-certified stall includes a meat and seafood platter, a veggie basket with vermicelli noodles, and two bowls of rice — definitely most value for money! The meat platter comes with a selection of prawns and marinated chicken and beef, so you get a little of everything. The only gripe most have is that they only serve one broth — chicken, with no option for spicy tom yum. If you feel unsatisfied, you can always do as Burppler Alvin Wang did and order a la carte meats to add on for a feast.

This Volcano Ramen is a mild Level 1 with a wee bit of heat that doesn’t overpower the flavours. Really enjoyed this chicken broth as it’s not heavy and oily like the usual tonkotsu broth. I’m also a fan of thin ramen noodles, though I’ll prefer them to be slightly more crunchy.
Level 2 was enough to make my colleague sweat and Level 3... I’ll let you know if I get to try it next time 🤪
$11+ for a delicious bowl with chicken char siew, minced meat, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, wakame, corn (removed from this bowl) and boiled egg is a pretty good value. Thanks to my colleagues @aisyarila and @adeesardali for bringing me and @thundrrr here for dinner! #burpple

I’ve always wanted to try this store after my friend recommended it to me when we were at Star Vista and I finally did! 💕 Omo-omo is a korean-japanese fusion concept and sells a variety of dons to suit everyone’s taste!

I have to say, I was really impressed! The steak was well seasoned and even though the meat was cooked over my requested “medium-rare”, it was still really delicious. The star of the show however, is the Multi-Grains Rice which was cooked to perfection. This store cooks up one of the best multi-grains rice that I’ve ever had 😍 I’m seriously craving this as I’m writing this review so I’ll definitely be back soon!

Ordered this tteobokki last night with the add on ingredients of ramyeon noodle, beef bulgogi and scallops. Oh boy, do I feel so so full!

Btw, only my boyfriend and I ate this and we're surprised that we managed to finish it!

Finally get to lay my hands on this korea-imported brand budaejjigae. It's a fully customizable budaejjigae. You get to choose your toppings and what goes into the stew. They have the basic ones for you to choose from which include cheese, chicken sausage, beef, mushroom and mussels and you can add on mandu, maggie mee etc. I guess what makes this unique was the cheese, which beautifully thicken the stew and have itself coated around the surrounding ingredients! Delicious good stuff do not just end here. Order a set of fried rice and fry it with the remaining stew. Texture of rice was really superb, with flavors from the stew and lingering with seaweed bits and sweet crunchy corns. What a perfect way to end the meal. Oh, did i mention, the restaurant has got themselves halal certified!

the burger was AAAAMAZING. the place is a little small but perfect for cute dates. definitely recommend it. average price is $25-$30 per person its a little pricey but like i said its worth it 👅

I'm not a Harry Potter fan, but I couldn't resist getting myself a mug of Butterbeer, a special item that was introduced only last month.

The main part of the drink is a butterscotch flavoured soda, served in a chilled mug, then topped with vanilla cream with a hint of butterscotch. The topping actually tastes like soft ice-cream, which it probably is, judging by the way it bubbles up when mixed with the soda. To me it's just a butterscotch version of a root beer float.

Because of the portion and sweetness, it should be considered a dessert rather than a drink to accompany your meal.

What's after dinner? Desserts! Replacing waffles with egglet seems to be the new and upcoming trend now! With the addition of getting 'best of both world' - red velvet + original. While egglet is on the fluffier side, if it has the additional slight crispness, it will be perfect! Flavors wise, there's hits & misses, root beer float was a little lacking. & ps/ they limit the numbers of ice cream flavors you can try depending on your order. :/ so choose it wisely!

With graham crackers for a little crunch and a drizzle of strawberry, the mildly cheesy soft serve was smooth and what I really liked is how it wasn’t too sweet overall. #burpple
