For just about $25, you could get a decent set of Chicken / Wagyu Beef / Vegetarian etc and pay a little more for premium sets like the Fish / Wagyu Ribeye Beef etc! All sets come with your choice of soup base, basket of vegetables and a staple! Occasionally they have a promotional top up price (about $1-2?) for dual soup base which is super worth it! Free flow of eggs, some sides and sauces for you to choose from. Their portions are pretty generous but if it’s still not enough, you can add on from their ala-carte menu! Recommended soup base includes Sichuan Mala, Fish soup with Milk, Tomato soup & Herbal Chicken soup! I love how their Mala soup is not overloaded with the chilli oil and there is the xiang to it. Freshness and quality of ingredients are guaranteed!
Another recommended hot pot choice. Their Mala Hotpot base is pretty good and well blended with spices. It’s the kind that is 又麻又辣&又香. Ingredients were pretty fresh and decently priced for the quality & variety!

Pretty good hotpot place with fresh and good variety of ingredients. Including quite a fair bit of fish and seafood selection! Their deep fried beancurd roll is amazing too, retaining that bit of crunch after a 3-5sec soak in the bubbling hot broth. Meat were thinly sliced and aren’t too fatty either. One of their to go for broth is definitely the mushroom base! Not overly thick but fragrant and flavorful enough. Mushroom broth seems to be the upcoming trend too! Price is decent with the kind of quality guaranteed.
Rein by their signature mushroom soup base, they have both ala carte and buffet options. In exact, 2 kind of buffet options - the normal one and the premium one which includes additional items like wagyu, black pork, scallops etc. For the usual normal selection, it has a decent variety of pork belly, beef belly, pork shoulder, tender beef slices, fish slices, handmade balls, mushrooms and veggies etc. All their ingredients are fresh and timely replenished. Among all the soup stocks, I still personally like the mushroom one, it’s light and flavorful. While the mala base is kind of fragrant but lack the oomph while the herbal soup is easily sweetened up with all the ingredients added into it. Quite worth the buck I would say! But it gets really crowded! So there’s a time limit during peak period and to avoid the queue remember to make a reservation!
The collagen pieces gracefully melts into the chicken soup after it comes to a boil. After which the waitress will take some out into a sake cup for us to taste the original flavor and portion the chicken before adding in all the vegetables into the broth. I must agree, after the collagen completely melts into the chicken stock, it thickens the broth and added sweetness to it. Also, the fresh greens well complemented the soup broth and totally absorbed the essence of the collagen and chicken broth. Totally warms your stomach on a cool rainy day!
$34 for a Shabu Shabu buffet, not the best around in town I would say. The variety of vegetables and other yong tau foo selections were rather limited. But most importantly the flavor of the soup base were pretty underwhelming, and it doesn’t get sweetened up or more flavorful even after cooking few rounds. Tried once and I guess that’s it! Overall taste and flavor was just flat.
Pretty good selection of dishes! Meat quality was good and each slices were of decent sizes! Best thing of all was their fried beancurd! Fast dip into the boiling soup for a couple of seconds, not only does it retains its crispness but at the same time soak up some of the soup essence. It's like crunchy yet bursting with the collagen/ma la soup. If you would like to go for mala, suggest the 小辣, such that it's not overly oily and spicy but able to taste the flavor. Recommended dishes: -Pork collar! Beef slices! Fried beancurd! Your comfort food for a rainy day like this today!
