Starting at $8 for 6 pieces, have a feast over these crisp, golden babies with friends and family, and savour up all that the prawn paste shiok-ness, along with some of their other dishes - think braised beef brisket noodles, nasi lemak, Teochew porridge and more; you'll surely be spoilt for choice here! π
These are part of a tasting at @dahaishan. ππ»
These L'il Peckers ($13++) are bomb diggity pieces of lollipop-shaped fried chicken served with dips made in-house consisting of tartar and chili sauce, otherwise considered to be the crowd favourite due to its slight kick of spiciness and flavour.
Enjoy each piece with or without these sauces; the chicken is really succulent to the bone regardless of which dip you pair it with, or none at all! The skin is beautifully deep-fried to a crunch-worthy and beautiful golden-brown, and these Peckers are without a doubt perfect for sharing amongst a group of friends or loved ones. β€οΈ This is part of a meal hosted by @thecommunalplace.
Each tender is crispy, tender, juicy and jam-packed with honey butter deliciouness! The chicken is not all that's good; the tteobokki is super yummy as well, but I feel that this needs more of it! Regardless, this dish is most certainly a winner winner chicken dinner. π
The signature Artichoke Fried Chicken ($26++) may be the signature dish of Chef Bjorn Shen, but as with every other fried chicken I would get a little skeptical as to how much better this could taste from other fried chicken, especially at such a price.
I love fried chicken, and thankfully this made me love it even more. β€οΈ A honey-lemon glazed supreme cut that does indeed taste pretty, well, supreme, complemented with zaβatar roasted pumpkin, kale, toum garlic, pistachio dukka and topped with a perfectly cooked fried egg with a gorgeous runny yolk (I always find runny yolks important else I would NOT eat it)! The chicken is tender and mad juicy and pairs with the toum (the garlic dip on the side) really well. Roasted pumpkins are delish as well! π
The price point might be a little questionable for fried chicken, but while you can get super finger lickin' good fried chicken (disclaimer: this ain't an ode to KFC coz I really do not like KFC's fried chicken π ) at affordable and inexpensive prices, I would like to believe that you aren't a true fried chicken fan yet if you have not had the one at Artichoke!

Salted Egg Chicken Rice (Ya Fu Mini Wok)
When I saw the chef pouring a generation amount of carnation to the wok, I knew this had to be good, and I was blown away. The salted egg (or sweet I should say) was so tasty and complimented the fried chicken really well, although I think the latter could've been cooked better as not every piece was well done. I mixed everything together to really enjoy the dish as a whole and I really liked this dish a lot! Definitely wouldn't mind having this again if I'm around Shaw House in future!
