Probably the closest we got to Japan this year! First time trying uni and it was so good. Cold pasta topped with ikura, uni and a very light truffle mushroom cream sauce. 1-for-1 deal with Burpple Beyond!

Love the broth but would have preferred a bigger portion of the crab claw. Don't think it justified the price. Fried mantou was already soggy when served. Guess it's still worth a try since its only available this month and only 30 bowls are served daily. .

Love the creamy, rich broth. Best part? The jumbo tiger prawns. Got this during their 1-for-1 promo and it wasn't the best experience tbh. Waited for more than 1.5 hrs but the worst part was that there were more than 5 empty tables at one point of time and they weren't letting anyone in. Eventually some of the customers left in vain.. Good things are worth the wait but this was just quite frustrating. Understand that they probably needed to manage the floor/kitchen but still. Thankfully the food was decent~

Ordered the Champion Floss Maki and Salmon Aburi Maki, both of which were decent and value for money. But my favourite was definitely the Cream Cheese one as it really lived up to its name. Just to note that it's a self-service restaurant though! PS: Northpoint City is HUGE

Thinly sliced pork from Spain - grilled and smoked, on top of Japanese Pearl Rice with spring onions and seaweed. This is definitely worth the damage! They also provide a wide range of sauces to complement your rice bowl. My only complaint would be for them to label the sauces so I know what I'm adding in (everything was in Jap)! Nevertheless everything still tasted damn good.

The new pop-up store concept - Tokyo Eater by @shokutsuten serves up 3 different style of Tendon bowls at a really affordable price! They introduce the concept of Chazuke style, whereby each rice bowl is served togther with a bottle (left) of freshly prepared daishi soup made with bonito from Japan to be mixed into the tendon for a light nourishing taste - a really refreshing experience. With no GST or service charge, this is a real steal for the quantity and quality of food! .

Fresh salmon sliced and torched with Mentaiko mayo. At only $10 per bowl (upsize for $2), this is definitely a steal! No wonder this has become one of the more popular go-to places for Jap food. Do note that they tend to sell out 1/2 hours before closing (Maki was sold out when we tried to order), so come down early!

Not a typo, but this platter of sushi probably cost less than your plate of chicken rice. Woud have ordered a dozen if this wasn't only limited to 2 servings per pax!

Worth a try, but considering the price and serving, I would still prefer the other Hoshino signature dishes such as the Fuwa Fuwa, Baked Curry Rice or Hoshino Spaghetti!

Not too sure how true is it when they claim to be the no.1 rated gyoza in Singapore. Nevertheless, they still offer an unique range of variation to the traditional Japanese dumplings, including their signature smoked mentaiko as well as the Tako Gyoza which is signature to the Plaza Sing outlet. Its almost everything you can find in the original Takoyaki balls (flakes, squid check) but wrapped in a dumpling instead!
