ACAMASEATS & GTK💮: Grilled well as the texture isn’t too rubbery but still provides the occasional snap as you bite it. The seasoning on the squid with a drizzle of lime is good enough on its own hence the Gochujang Mayo acts as a supporting character, truth be told most only remember the main cast. 🍴

My only gripe is that the squid could be grilled a little longer for a crispier edge with a smoky finish but there’s a risk to pay which is sacrificing its perfect texture for a grilled squid. So you see, humans are naturally greedy sometimes you can’t get the best of both worlds so appreciate what is served to you. 🔖

Most of the time it’s the company that makes the food taste so much better. To share a meal together is an invitation of being in one’s family. A memorable meal, special date and incorruptible companion.

ACAMASEATS & GTK TIPS💮: I’ve tried both versions of the iconic chilli crab from these two establishments a handful of times and I personally prefer Long Beach Seafood version hands down. It’s more flavourful, the chilli packs more punch, the sauce is thicker compared to the watery one from Jumbo and overall it has more character and oomph. 🤤

This actually translates to most of the dishes when one compare the two restaurants. Long Beach Seafood pays more attention to the presentation, ingredients and the overall cohesiveness of the flavours. Perhaps the one dish that Jumbo outdid it’s competitor will be the deep fried baby squid [3rd pic] (however it’s a tad too sweet for my liking, great with beer though) 🔖

ACAMASEATS & GTK💮: If there’s just one “Snacks or starters” you should get, it’ll be this hands down. Freshly shucked Brittany Tsarksya Oyster is bathed in jalapeño ponzu that brings out the sweetness and is addictive especially when paired with a glass of cava. 🤤

The salmon roe and pickled ginger flower makes each Oyster a refreshing delight to have, the Japanese inspiration is prominent and if you have a deeper pocket on that day order half a dozen of it. 🔖

Served with salad & Fries. I like how the lobster meat wasn’t heavily seasoned with mayo, allowing the natural sweetness of the lobster to shine through. 🤤

An entire lobster was used in this roll. It will be perfect if the Toasted Brioche bun can be a little more buttery throughout. The Market Grill uses Live Atlantic Lobsters flown in from Maine & Boston hence the slightly Hefty Price Tag. 🔖
