Elsa Eats ... and Would Eat Again

It was dense, which wasn’t at all what I’d associate with coconut cakes in general, and flavourful, yet not cloying. I’m glad Nesuto is open on weekends — I’d definitely return to try out their other offerings, both dessert and beverage alike. Hopefully a full-fledged mains menu is on the horizon soon.

More like “the best salad”, as it features three of my favourite foods: bacon, egg, and smoked salmon. 🤩 I also absolutely loved the 1920s-inspired interior, which feels like such a breath of fresh air from the minimalistic and/or wooden furniture-dominated cafés that pop up on my radar a lot. (Nothing against those, of course.)

(JSYK, the way to my heart is painfully simple: chocolate or red velvet, or even better — both at a time.) Then I walked up to the display, and before I knew it, I was asking for a slice of The Bette Midler. Not only does this look gorgeous with its violet coat, it tastes positively divine. The lemon provided a nice zingy contrast to the rich earl grey, and the texture is moist and dense but still pleasantly light.

😒 I’d given up on the idea until I stumbled upon the correct street on my way to UE Square for grocery-shopping. (I do lead a very exciting life, yes.) This and a glass of iced black coffee were the perfect companion to my Infamous Iron Man backlog.
