Super worth lunch set. Only $18++, it come with one starter, one main and one dessert. Add $5, we enjoyed a 200g steak. As they might had changed their menu, the dishes you see here might not be available. However, for its price, it was worth visiting.
For a satisfying steak lunch in the CBD, look no further. Argentinian restaurant boCHINche serves up what we reckon is one of the most value-for-money set lunches. The Prix Fixe Menu offers a choice of two or three courses ($28; $33, includes dessert) with weekly changes to their dish offerings. boCHINche is known for their meats, so we're glad that their ribeye steak is a mainstay. Expect a hearty piece (180g) of tender Argentinian beef seasoned and grilled perfectly, served with wedges and chimichurri mayo on the side. Portions are generous so bring your favourite colleague and get dessert to share. Pro tip: Before you reserve your seat, check their Instagram account (@bochinchesg) for the week's menu.

Known for its consistently high standards in food, modern Australian grill Burnt Ends makes our list for this pièce de résistance — the Onglet ($26/100g). Also known as hanger steak, this lesser celebrated cut is known for its big beefy flavour. The version here sees the meat charcoal-grilled to a succulent bite, served with melt-in-the-mouth bone marrow and a robust burnt onion sauce that elevates the beef's delicious smokiness. We recommend that you order it medium rare. A 200g piece is good to share between two diners, so it leaves you space to try other amazing meat-centric plates like the Burnt Ends Sanger ($20) and Beef Marmalade and Pickles ($14). Pro tip: Reservations are a must at this ever popular establishment. Also check if the onglet will be on the day's menu.

Charcoal-grilled wagyu beef with onsen egg and shredded leeks over rice.
There was a hint of truffle and while I'm not a huge fan of truffle, this was done perfectly so that it wasn't overpowering and actually complemented the dish really well.
You can choose the how you want the wagyu slices to be done, and I opted for medium rare. The wagyu slices were really tender and even more flavourful when I dipped them into the runny yolk of the onsen egg.
It's been a few years since I went back to Fat Cow, and I'm really glad that it was as good as I'd remember. Will definitely be back.
This was a good excuse to indulge ourselves for the night.
The Mac & Cheese here would be our standard order at Bedrock's. It was our top choice for the dish, the benchmark for a delicious Mac & Cheese. From the crispy cheese crust, firm macaroni to creamy sauce infused with aromatic truffle taste, it was an absolute satisfaction till the last drop in the pan.
Of cos, our indulgence also included their amazing charred ribeye steak. Perfectly charred on the outside and beautifully done inside.
Wine Connection is one of the largest wine importers in Singapore, which explains their impressive collection of wine labels and the affordable price tags. A glass of red starts from $7 while premium labels start from $11 per glass. The food won't change your life, but it's hearty, solid fare that will keep your tummies satisfied. Go for the Seafood Paella ($32) that comes with a generous portion of mussels, prawns, spicy chorizo and huge pieces of chicken — great for filling two very hungry stomachs. If not, share the Parma Ham and Rocket Pizza ($16) — a thin crusted tomato-based pizza topped with slices of parma ham, rocket and mozzarella. The buzzy atmosphere and good vibes at the Robertson Quay outlet will instantly put you at ease, making for a relaxed date night that won't break the bank. Pro tip: They do not take reservations after 7pm, so come early to snag a seat or be prepared to wait.

A quick scan around the restaurant and you’ll see this starter sitting on most tables. Rolled up pork belly stuffed with wild fennel and baked to a layer of crackling skin all around, it’s served as a whole cut before the server helps to snip it into smaller pieces. The bites were tender with a touch of light pepperiness. It was sadly dry in some parts, but all’s well with dips into that addictive side of spicy mustard!
Wagyu beef slices on pizza? Why not! Beef was well done and marinated nicely to bring out the flavour. Sautéed mushrooms helped alleviate the monotony of eating meat. The caramelised onions brought an unwelcome sweetness, but the abundant mozzarella and cheddar made up for it! On the other side is the pepperoni and prosciutto. The saltiness of the prosciutto went well with the fresh olive and chilli. And again, the cheese is to die for. All for $25++.
