waffles + cafes!!
We knew it was first world problem when we were so spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding which flavours to match with which waffles. Here's why:
.
Types of Waffle:
1. Buttermilk ($3.50) - all-time classic buttermilk waffle drizzled with chocolate & maple sauce
2. Butter Chip ($3.80) - classic on another level with melted chocolate chips drizzled with chocolate & maple sauce
3. Double Chocolate ($4.20) - dark chocolate waffle with melted chocolate drizzled with maple sauce
4. Matcha ($3.80) - waffle infused with subtle matcha flavour drizzled with maple sauce
5. Sweet Berries ($4.20) - waffle infused with goodness of strawberries, served with chewy strawberry toppings
.
Types of Ice Cream Flavours:
Mini ($2), Single ($3), Double ($5.80), Triple ($8.40)
Cookies & Cream, French Vanilla, Vanilla Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter, Salted Caramel, Pandan Coconut, Durian, Matcha, Tea Latte, Strawberry Cheesecake, Summer Mango, Mixed Berries Yogurt, Butterscotch Cookies, Hokey Pokey, Pistachio, Mr. Smurfie (Cotton Candy), Coconut, Zesty Lime, Dark Chocolate, Mao Shan Wang, Hazelnut Chocolate, Mighty Milo, Chocolate Cookies, Rockie Road, Chocolate Banana, Rum & Raisins, Peppermint Chocolate
All 28 (or more) flavours are made in-house & they have at least 15-20 available on displays everyday! Love the fact that they don't melt that easily either.
.

Nutella Banana Toast topped with a gelato of your choice at ($11) ! Lovely way to chase away Monday blues !
Despite not having a hangover, I wanted this burger made out of English muffins, hash, bacon, ham, a beef patty and a sunny side up, topped with a pickle as greens and served with shoestring fries. It's decadent, fatty and satisfying. This is a place for brunch, hands down.
Love the waffles, they were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside.. but feel that the ice cream flavors aren't as appealing as Fat Cat's. We also ordered truffle fries and the taste of truffle was almost nonexistent - except for the few fries right at the top.
Sunny Lovin' ($13) consisting of two avocado toasts with salsa and topped off with two (rather large) poached eggs. However, poached eggs were a bit overcooked and egg yolks were not as runny. They were very generous with the avocado though! [6/10]
Chargrilled chicken ($16) had brioche, sunny-side up, chicken, feta cheese, baby spinach, fresh pea sprouts, and pomegranate bits with balsamic olive drizzle. A lot of flavours going on in this dish, maybe even too much... Baby spinach and fresh pea sprouts were very fresh and light. Eggs were reasonably well done. However, the chargrilled chicken was certainly the winner of the dish. A very generous serving of chicken, tasted a bit like Indian style food - mildly spicy. [6/10]
Roasted Almond latte ($7) and Hazelnut latte ($7) was excellent! Very flavourful and aromatic. [8/10]
Service Rating: Staff was very friendly and cheerful. [7/10]
This cafe gets really pack at brunch time so do make a reservation if you don't want to side facing the window glass!!
We ordered 4 servings of ice cream with waffles and got the earl grey lavender, hazelnut, pistachio and chocolate. The soft serve ice cream comes in a generous serving and the waffle is crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The earl grey flavour is super strong! Plus, it comes with drizzled honey, biscotti and customised toppings depending on the flavour you ordered. Quite the perfect dessert which explains the constant queues ππ
too #gamestrong.
Craving for Okonomiyaki Wazza (S$11), which is one of the new items as part of the revamped menu π
A Japanese-Western fusion where @commonchefscafe uses buttermilk waffle as a base and flourished with carious toppings such as tuna flakes and tamago, glazed with Tonkatsu sauce and Japanese mayo and finally topped with bonito flakes and seaweed!
Savoury pancake..comfort food at its best β€οΈ
The waffle is still as SHIOK and ice cream still as nice - now still got Milo flavor one hor!
Find them at 124 Hougang Ave 1, #01-1446, Singapore 530124. Now you all know where I stay around πΎ hahaha
This newly opened Muslim-owned spot is the place to visit for an unabashed sugar rush. Portions are generous and they certainly don't hold back with the sauces and toppings. Neighbours to Konditori Artisan European Bakery along Bussorah Street, Lickety specialises in Hong Kong style Egglet Waffles folded into a cone to house your ice cream (from $8.90). And what an amazing variety they offer, with flavours ranging from safe Green Tea and Chocolate to more interesting combinations like Coconut & Taro and Earl Grey Fig. You get to choose between the Red Velvet or Buttermilk for the fluffy waffles β get the half-and-half if you can't decide!
Avg Price: $5 per person
