Waa Cow's Signature Wagyu Beef Donburi comes in the option of Aburi/ Mentaiko/ Truffle, with the regular sizes ranging from $19.90-$22.90. For hungrier people, upsize for more beef or add uni for $9.
Each bowl comes with niigata Japanese rice that's lightly charred, runny egg that adds silkiness to the rice when mixed; and tobiko for an additional crunch. Sous-vide, flame-torched with Nikiri sauce, the resulting beef was smoky, sweet and tender.
Personally prefer the creamy mentaiko but truffle fans will be pleased to know its flavour comes through for the truffle bowl without being too overwhelming, and of course, go for the aburi bowl for something simple yet equally delightful.
Would this be the ultimate beef ramen? The tonkotsu broth here was simmered for 48 hours to full extract every flavour from the ingredients used. four. tee. eight. hours!
🔸
They serve various ramen with different beef toppings, but this particular bowl had all their beef toppings in a bowl: slow-roast oxtail, braised beef tendon, 8-hour slow-roasted red wine boneless short rib and sautéed sliced US beef. This could be a good ramen to start with, before you decide which beef is your favorite and order a bowl all with that beef.

And be sure to check out their tapas and one cup sake!
One of the top chirashi dons on our list of favourites!
The $34.90++ lunch bara chirashi bento set is packed with value as it comes with an appetizing salad, silky chawanmushi, savory agadeshi tofu and a selection of fruits. Excellent executive lunch, we must say!
Never knew of this famous #yakitori place till today and it just amazed me with its value-for-money set lunch! For $13.80, you get 5 of their signature yakitori (quails eggs, chicken & leek, bacon-wrapped asparagus, meatballs and minced meat wrapped in shiso leaf) with rice, grilled mushrooms (which were so juicy and delicious btw) and minced meat on rice which kinda reminded me of Taiwanese 卤肉饭. You even get a bowl of miso soup and an azuki red bean dessert on the side! Now if this is not the most affordable, filling and TASTY lunch, I don't know what is! #burpple #japanese #bento

Burpple Tastemaker Ice Blossom highly recommends it, describing the don as one of the more delicious ones in town that "fares very well in all aspects — texture and taste of the rice, freshness and sweetness of sashimi, assortment and variety of sashimi, and price". Otherwise, the reliable Barachirashi Don ($22) is bound to satisfy any fish lover's cravings. Willing to spend a little more? Being listed as the Bib Gourmand of Michelin Guide Singapore 2017, there is no doubt to the quality of charcoal-grilled Unagi here. What keeps foodies come back for more, is their mouth-watering Unagi that has that little bit of crisp and the enormous original flavour of the seafood. Typically, you can eat this Large Hitsumabushi set (S$35.80) either with broth poured over (as a sort of porridge), or with the condiments such as sauces and fresh self-grated wasabi. Or be like me, to just alternate between these two ways to savour the best taste of heavenly Unagi.
But just to be very clear, even though this is a trending, popular and award-deserving restaurant, please do not assume that the small bones in the Unagi are negligible. Even if the queue out there adds stress to you, it's better to play safe and appreciate the food slowly, carefully and safely.
To beat the queue, go very early or request for takeaway and picnic somewhere.
