Despite the relatively higher-end pricetag that came along with this dish, I would gladly say JUST TAKE MY MONEY. A new addition to @southunionpark β€˜s current revamped menu, this seafood risotto comprises of squid ink risotto along with a medley of assorted seafood components: prawns, clams, squid, octopus, as well as roasted red peppers. Despite the long time we spent taking photos, the risotto still retained a creamy, thick and slightly grainy texture, one that resembled a hybrid of congee and rice, the ideal kind of risotto texture for me! ✌🏻 πŸ’– The characteristic seafood-sque flavour was one that spoke freshness, contributing to a piquant flavour profile, along with the other fresh seafoode elements, this dish is highly recommended if you are a fan of seafood! πŸ‘πŸ» On a side note, this was my 4th visit to South Union Park a few weeks back, and definitely not my last! ✨ Each visit never fails to disappoint, and in fact, each meal that I had always left a positive impression behind, be it the food or serviceπŸ˜‹πŸ™†πŸ»β€β™€οΈ. Priced at $8 a cup, the softserve comes as a huge portion that’s highly recommended for sharing (unless you are having it as a meal)! The texture is smooth and creamy but flavour wise, it was akin to a mediocre vanilla ice cream, with no apparent salted caramel flavour apart from the sauce incorporated within. Would have preferred if the toppings were layered within the softserve instead of being just present at the top for an additional crunch factor to cut through the boredom. The mini sugar donut was fluffy and pillowy, adorned with an exterior coat of sugar crystals, an aesthetically pleasing addition to the smooth, creamy and milky treat. The bananas were fresh and ripe, a slight alleviation to the other sinful elements whereas the cookie crumbs provided a pleasant crisp factor which could have been more significant in presence .

[$16 , +$2 to swap pork belly for Hokkaido scallops] An interesting and creative name for this dish that is literally a chawanmushi don 🍚, comprising of cheese rice beneath the thick layer of steamed eggs (chawanmushi). Topped with Hokkaido scallops, onions and tobiko, I was glad to have chosen the option of scallops instead of pork belly despite the additional charges. Fresh, plump with a firm albeit chewy mouthfeel, the scallops were served with substantial portion and size that makes the extra charges worth it! ✨ Personally a huge fan of scallops as well and these met up to expectations in terms of both quantity and quality. The steamed egg aka chawanmushi was soft, smooth and wobbly, a beancurd-like texture that comes with a flavourful, umami savoury broth. The bed of rice beneath felt more like a slow cooked porridge instead as it had turned all soft and mushy from the broth. Nevertheless, I love the addition of springy, melted cheese that’s present at the base of the rice, which added another dimension to flavour and texture as well. Though it was an enjoyable dish, I would highly recommend sharing as it would be a tad overwhelming for the palate after awhile. (PS: This dish would be removed from the menu from next Thursday onwards with a new menu launch! Along with other items eg. Crab rosti (my favourite savoury dish here) , kaya french toast etc 😭hence do head down to have a try of the current menu before some items are gone!) .

πŸ¦πŸ’• Easily peeled off from its shell (swipe to end to view) which spoke freshness, the prawns are also plump and juicy, coupled with a top layer of creamy torched mentaiko sauce that provided a pleasant savoury umami flavour. Along with pickled radish (starter to kickstart the appetite with its tanginess), a warm comforting bowl of miso soup filled with seaweed and diced tofu cubes, a huge bowl of sticky Japanese white rice, the overall meal is ended off with slices of fresh, juicy and sweet watermelon as the dessert. Can't stop raving about the mentaiko prawns here that made every cent worth the spent, given that there was also an exclusive 1-for-1 promotion via reservations made with @chopesg . A pity this great deal had ended on 30 Sept, but if you are one that goes for quality, this is an ideal place for u! For those who have a big appetite and great fetish for Japanese cuisine, you will be glad to know that @mitsuba.j.restaurant also offers lunch and dinner buffet that allows u to eat to your heart's content πŸ’–! .

What I fancied most about this dish was the cheesy surprise within each arancini balls, apart from the tangy and flavourful chilli crab sauce. Each arancini was done to perfection, with a crisp and well breaded panko-crusted golden brown exterior, encasing a compact clump of rice grains and a thick, gooey melted cheesy core πŸ˜‹. The chilli crab sauce makes a great companion, with a tangy spiciness and a slightly thick texture which surprisingly did not impart any significant sogginess to the arancini. Not for the faint hearted as the spiciness was a significant contribution to the flavours and packs a punch! Along with crisp deep fried mantou (tasted like crackers to me), this might be an appetizer meant for sharing but I would gladly love to have it as a main instead! πŸ’–

The most affordable and pocket-friendly lobster you can ever find that doesn't scrimp on the ingredients as well! From now till 15th September, with every order of lobster mentaiko pasta, you get to enjoy a free serving of mentaiko fries with @snatchsingapore (limited to 15 servings per day)! The lobster was fresh, juicy with a springy delicate texture. Would personally prefer for the mentaiko sauce to be served separately to fully savour its seafood-sque flavour. The pasta was creamy, slightly al dente with a pleasant savoury umami flavour of mentaiko. I would personally recommend to share this dish as the heavy and creamy consistency might get a tad overwhelming after awhile.

Would personally prefer if the linguine was more al dente as this was a tad too soft for my liking. Pasta was a little wet too, which was strange as this was supposed to be an aglio olio. Nevertheless, the sautéed crabmeat were fresh, juicy with a delicate mouthfeel. What's more, it's de-shelled crabmeat, making it a convenient and fuss-free indulgence! Topped with spicy cod roe sauce that added a pleasant umami note with a mild lingering spiciness, the pasta also comes with a perfectly poached egg (swipe right to view) that possessed a super runny, flowy vibrant yolk😍 .

The butter brioche rolls were soft and pillowy, with a slightly toasted exterior that was a tad dry though, without much buttery fragrance. The lobster chunks were fresh, with a springy delicate texture, well coated with a tangy, creamy in house dressing. Pretty much mediocre, nothing to rave about, given that I had tasted much better ones out there. My favourite lobster rolls are still the ones at Pince & Pints till date! πŸ˜‹The fries were thin and crisp, a run-off-the mill too, without much seasoning and spices to it. Portion was really generous though that I couldn't even manage 1/3 of it! πŸ˜…

Fresh assorted seafood - mussels, prawns, squid to other poultry components- otah and lup cheong on a bed (or wok) of squid ink paella. Out of all the seafood components, my favorite was the prawns which were fresh, plump and juicy. The mussels were also juicy and chewy, with a prominent seafood-sque flavour. Coupled with a slight spiciness from the housemade otah and a sweet-smoky flavour of the lup cheong, my enjoyment subsided towards the end where the paella was charred at the base and edges, resulting in an unpleasant and undesirable burnt aftertaste .

Garnished with parsley flakes, the crabmeat (REAL and not crabstick) were substantially present, fresh with a soft and delicate texture. A spicy kick follows after, a slight numbing sensation to the palate but flavourful and shiok πŸ’₯! The pizza crust was thin, crisp and biscuit-like, though unfortunately some edges were charred and burnt. The top layer of melted mozzarella was thick, gooey and cheesy - an essential element to spice things up! .

Only available on weekends, this lobster roll surprisingly surpassed my expectations, with generous stuffings of slipper lobster chunks that's well-marinated in creamy Japanese dressing, topped with tobiko roe and sandwiched between a soft butter roll. The lobster chunks were fresh, with a springy and slightly chewy texture, lying comfortably on a base of crisp raw lettuce in a soft, fluffy and pillowy grilled butter roll. Fries, on the downside, though crisp, were pretty mediocre. The mesclun salad turned out to be shredded lettuce lightly spiced up with a Japanese goma dressing and topped with sesame seeds. Nevertheless, the main highlight remains as the lobster roll, which is a definite must try-given its substantial portion and reasonable pricing. And not forgetting, freshness and satisfaction to the palate πŸ˜‹
