You get a wide variety of fusion food from Tuna, Strawberry and Maple Syrup βdessertβ ceviche to duck tartare.
Very interesting concept by a french chef. π
$: 20-22 per plate
I love my crab, and eggs... and carbs, geddit?
But sometimes you get bored of bacon and smoked salmon...
This crab cake benedictβs here to save the day! π¦π³π₯ͺ
$22
Spinach, your choice of eggs, cous cous, falafel, grilled eggplant, hummus and halloumi cheese.... all for $15? What a steal!
I really love med cuisine and their grilled meats, but I ainβt gonna complain when this came meat-less. Every aspect was spot on
Unassuming plate of βhamβ... thatβs what it looked like. Undoubtedly one of the best ham iβve had in town, made of duck. Fragrance was overpowering (in a good way), tasted like a crossover of aged iberico jamon X roast duck π€€
$: i think itβs around 16
Tasting notes of black garlic, kaffir leaves, lime, chive oil etc. Miso ice cream lightens up the texture, black garlic paste adds in a little tang.
This tartare was absolutely phenomenal, giving a different oomph and mouthfeel when paired with the various sauces on the plate.
My friend described it as βhaving the starter, main course and dessert all at onceβ.
$: 55++ for Grande Lunch
You get to choose your ideal fish, sea bass, cod, snapper etc. I tried the signature MALA base and wasnβt disappointed at all. My platter consisted of sesame oil-laden homemade noodles, lotus root, enoki and chinese cabbage. Itβs simple but super rich and satisfying. Fish was flakey, fresh and absorbed the intense flavours from the soup.
Good to share with 3-4 pax.
$: around $35/pax
Apart from the not-so-crispy fries, the steak was cooked to a perfect medium (my desired doneness) and was extremely tender. Been there 4 times, really enjoyed the service and food over there.
Umami bomb with a perfect crust, nuff said
I like how this place infused the basmati rice with aromatic fruits such as rasins and orange (yeap), best when paired with the grilled meat. Iβd reckon trying the Lamb Chop and mixed mezze platter, good for sharing with a couple friends.
TO DIE FOR... dish costs around $30++ but totally worth the price as I havenβt had such amazing pork chop in Singapore. The fat dissipated in my mouth (almost like wagyu)... and aroma of the char-grilled bits = spectacular.
I absolutely love crabs, especially those that are grilled and filled with gooey roe.
Sweet, tangy and paired with the house special sambal chilli, this BBQ π¦βs to die for.
This place is famous for its char siew and BBQ squid too (if youβre not a fan of crab, that is).
$: 45-55 per crab
While it doesnβt come super cheap, the soup from Empress Place = robust and extremely flavourful. I tried both the dry and soup version, gotta say I prefer the latter. Homemade chilli sauce was spot on and adds the right amount of heat to enhance the flavour of the beef tripe and meat. Definitely a must try if youβre around Siglap.
$: 6-9 per bowl, depending on size
