Food Court And Hawker Fares
I haven't had good wanton noodles in a while.. then I chanced upon this stall in the most timely manner! The most remarkable components were the noodles and char siew. The egg noodles was fresh, had the right balance of springiness and firmness, and did not reek of alkali. The char siew was soft and tender and they were also very generous with it.
The wanton noodles are sold at $3.50 and $4.50 portions. They also have other varieties like dumpling and shredded chicken noodles on the menu.
And as a bonus, the uncle taking orders is extremely friendly - definitely sets the mood right for breakfast or lunch π
As I was told, this chicken rice in SP FC6 is famous amongst the students and there is always a long queue for it. I like the chilli!
Thai food from the new food court at Fusionopolis. The whole process of taking to serving my order kept me waiting for about 15 minutes. I reckon I was their first customer of the day but I'm not sure if this justifies the long wait. The basil chicken came out to be mushy and wet, and the chicken wasn't minced neatly. It's nothing like the basil chicken that I know of despite the stall being operated by Thais.
I love the YTF from the food court at one North!
My only complain was that the prawns were a tad too small. πππ
At $4.50 per portion, it was cheap and good, but the soup might be a tad too peppery for some. And yes, free soup refills!
Dean's Cafe's signature dish. Crabs are usually inconvenient and troublesome to eat... But I didn't mind getting my hands dirty for this!!
Bittergourd soup came a bit bare with not much ingredients other than a whole bunch of bittergourd inside. While the vegetables and teppan tofu were fine (nice but nothing special), their salted yolk calamari and butter chicken were to die for!! More rice please!
