Supper Overall
A new mookata place that was founded by local celebrities Chew Chor Meng and Zhou Chong Qing which opens till 🕑 2am in the heartland of Kovan. Now we have a new place for supper 🙄
80% of the coffee shop was filled with diners eating mookata on a Monday evening. That’s just how popular they are! 🙆♀️ We waited for 30mins 🙇♀️ upon ordering so it’s advisable not to go there on a empty stomach coz smelling the bbq aroma would make you feel hungrier. We heard from one of the staff that the waiting time on last weekend was up to 90 mins 😱
A standard platter for 2 cost $26 and consists of marinated 🐔 chicken thigh, marinated 🐷 pork collar, marinated 🐷 pork belly, de-shelled tiger prawns, half shell scallops, mussels, fish balls, hot dog, crab stick, chinese cabbage, xiao bai cai, enoki mushrooms, sweet corn and instant noodles. The food was so good that we went to add-on more 🐷 pork belly, scallops, prawns and quail 🥚 eggs. Oh BTW, their 🌶️ chilli is dang awesome! Definitely one of the best mookata + supper venue right now 👍
However the new outlet provides many more selection of soup and it opens till 6am (last order 5am if I'm not wrong). Sadly, rice is charged additionally. Fruits are provided instead
Top right: Volcano ramen $11
Top left: Beef ramen $12.9
Middle: Chicken ramen $11
Love the beef ramen out of the 3 bowls. Broth was tasty! Volcano was nice but starting to prefer chicken slice instead of minced chicken in it. Chicken ramen was alright, calm and fragrant. Beef was marinated very well and it has a distinctive taste to it that it doesn't fade away even though it's in the soup which is of a different taste. It was also tender and soft!! Very generous with the beef quantity. Boiled eggs given in the volcano and chicken ramen was yummy.
Personally felt that the presentation this time was not nice compared to the previous time I visit. As seen in the picture, some ingredients have sinked into the soup.
Ordered horffles (Horlicks ice cream with Horlicks waffles) and earl grey waffles with Thai tea ice cream for supper! This place closes at 2am so it's a great place for supper!
Fried Thai style crab dong fen. $15 for small, extremely good with heavy garlic and pepper flavours.
Travelled all the way to Geylang from the west for this meal 😂 with my bffs @tingest and @bahblahh. I must say the fried carrot cake (those random squares on the pink plate) and the signature beancurd with mango salad was 😍😍😍😍😍😍. The carrot cake is so small but has a damn nice crisp exterior and is super soft and yum inside. The rest okok la haha wouldn't travel specially to eat here again. #burpple
Pressed flat, with Crispy Burnt Ends, Wok Hei (the essence of the wok) & the eggs are just added perfection. There's a reason why is this a hit with locals, foreigners & foodies alike. 😋

ACAMAS-THOUGHTS & GTK💮: Ever since it moved to a new location in a more comfortable, brightly lit & air conditioned area. It somehow lost the touch & charm it once had at the old location. 📍
The food no doubt still tastes the same (thank god & the price as well) but the atmosphere changed. Somehow for me, it tasted better back in the more 'colourful' part of the ever glittery Geylang. Location & Atmosphere really play a critical role. 🖖🏻
A 10-minute walk from Kallang MRT Station, this dim sum restaurant serves both dim sum and zi char dishes, so you can have the best of both worlds under one roof. Unlike its sister outlet at Beauty World that operates till 2am, Mongkok Dim Sum's Geylang outlet is operational 24 hours daily, making it the perfect venue for a fuss-free late night supper with a large group of friends. Start with their silky smooth Steamed Rice Roll with Shrimp ($4.20) before digging into the Beef Horfun (from $6) and the Salted Egg and Butter Pork Ribs (from $14) — both tasty, filling options that are great for sharing! From the dim sum menu, skip the not-so-great Gula Melaka Steamed Cake (Ma La Gao) ($4) and go with Tastemaker Ni Eats recommendation instead — the Custard Buns (Liu Sha Bao) ($4.20 for three). The lightly salted custard centre is oozy and flowy, just the way we like it!
Avg Price: $10 per person

Upp Thomson branch: Seems like this ice-cream cafe trend is def here to stay! It's always so crowded. But i prefer the food over their ice-creams @uddersicecream .Do note that different outlets have differing food menus.
Rating: 7.2/10
Will i return/recommend: Yes/Yes
Pros: Love having simple breakfast food at anytime of the day! Opens till late. This pancake set is great comfort food. I like their fried mushrooms too. Food and desserts generally good quality.
Cons: Gets very crowded. Not a fan of their ice creams as it is ridiculously and unnecessarily sweet. Place always feels clustered and dirty.
Price: S$7.50 for this pancake set
Their Kimchi Cheese Omelette ($12++) was very flavourful and we also had their Honey Butter Chicken Bumbuk ($25++), which had a generous amount of fried honey butter chicken and potato wedges sitting atop an ocean of mozzarella cheese.

Shrimp Paste Chicken (from $10) and Cereal Squid (from $14) are just to compliment the main dish, Crispy Vermicelli Bee Hoon (from $6). The reason why I dragged my friends over.
Flavoursome bee hoon is pan-fried till it's charred on one side, but remain moist on the other side. You'll find ingredients like small prawns, squids and fish cake slices inside, finishing with bean sprouts and pork lard on top. I personally find it too crispy, as I prefer the moist bee hoon such as Johor's 三楼米粉 but it's was worth trying!
