Another restaurant with an asian touch to their palatable plates of cuisines. One of their chef recommendations would be this Prawn & Hae Bi Hiam pasta. Upon dishing the plate of pasta to your table, the pasta perfumed with the fragrance of hae bi hiam whet up your appetite almost instantly. Al dente tagliatelle tossed in spicy shrimp paste gave the dish a local oomph and kick with the creamy spicy base. Portion was just nice, not too little and not too overwhelming.

The tempura batter makes a crunchier impact when it comes to the vegetables as compared to the seafood, whilst elsewhere the soft rice is a triumph and the anago basks in its tempura glory like a tabby cat under the Punggol sun, positively melting in your mouth once your teeth has conquered the crispy layer of tempura skin. 3.8/5

Strawberry Cubes ($8.50) which I had is rich with crushed strawberry and milk, almost like a bingsu drink. It isn't too sweet since fresh strawberries are used in here, expect a little tinge of sourness. But how's that even a problem? ๐Ÿ˜

And if you takeaway this, you'll get a complimentary soup-of-the-day! This is indeed one complete meal from the michelin-starred roast at Pacific Plaza Level 1.

While both the ice cream flavours & taste remind me of the ones we can easily get from our local mobile ice cream vendors or those giant Mangnolia/King's tubs from supermarkets, I give my stars to their perfect outer layer crust with fragrant buttery aroma. After all this was just a few dollars mark up from our childhood guilty pleasure. & Best of all? Taking a shot against their LED display here can help me fool my gullible friends that I'm in Japan.

Thin choux with a sugar crumble crust, injected with an outrageous amount of pastry cream, Coffee in this case. My go-to flavour; in my opinion, best from their selection. Coffee ftw!

ordered this after reading so much rave about it.

gotta admit that the first 2 pieces were yummy; I'm a cheese lover! but when it came to the 3rd and 4th piece, I was already tired of the taste. I mean, it's just cheese in egg with mustard dressing? so not much of a surprise here, and I reckon it's better if shared with a group of friends instead of just for 2 pax.

With pocket-friendly lunch prices and beautiful plated presentation, it's no wonder why Tanuki Raw is still going strong on Instagram. Covered in succulent pan-fried short ribs and a wobbly onsen egg, their Truffle Yakiniku ($14.90++) is a sure crowd-pleaser. The Garlic Butter Chicken ($12.90++) is also a safe bet for people who prefer traditional Japanese flavours.

The first thing that wow-ed me was the portion - there was a generous serving of chicken and risotto. Chicken was crispy, tender, and not oily. Risotto was full of flavour and the garlic certainly brought it up a notch!

Went for the salmon promotion - 5 slices for $3

Ordered 40 slices between the two of us, which is more than enough. They didn't sell rice as it is though. Instead, it came as a set, inclusive of a salad and soup for $5 in total. Bill came to $20 flat per person after taxes, which is extremely affordable.

Quality is decent, but you can't expect great quality at these prices.
