Slurrp!!!
You'll definitely take some time to pick which tart to try when you're here. Settled on cherry (seasonal tart) and hojicha. The cherry was very refreshing while the hojicha had a very rich and fragrant taste. Loved both, but the hojicha was definitely more unique. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area!
Liked that the thick toast was nicely prepared, crispy outside yet retaining the fluffiness inside. With the matcha and vanilla ice cream, it was enjoyable with the light cream and Ogura red beans.
The place was also comfy for a post-shopping coffee session, especially with their aromatic in-house roast coffee. Will look forward to try their savoury dishes on the next visit. #burpple
We had the matcha pudding and parfait as well as these thick pancakes. We opted for the blueberry sauce ($13) it was soso, a little heavy. It was basically like eating a cake. Ice cream wasn't too generous as well. Go for the matcha parfait instead!
Pandan Gula Melaka mini toast @dazzlingcafe.sg. Not too much carbs, only the crispy buttery bits that matter. Plus that rich coconut cream and fragrant brown sugar.. it's like a deconstructed chendol (which I haven't had in YEARS). So good. Go eat. Anyhow.. just thinking about 'the early bird catches the worm'... Must be a fat bird because that would mean at least 2 breakfasts if one wakes that early.. Well this early bird is gonna be working out before eating her worms. Have a good weekend!
The toast pieces in the bread box is more like deep fried bread to me. Overall good for sharing.
tempt me with food ๐ท๐น Airy crisp ้่ไป, served with mango cubes, HK milk tea ice cream and salted egg custard sauce. Really love the ้่ไป and ice cream while not really a fan of that salted egg custard sauce. Though, I like it how they kept the salted egg part mild to match well with the rest.
New pastry shop that's hidden in one corner of Paragon, just opposite Starbucks. Pretty minimalist space with an open kitchen concept as you'll watch the pastry chefs crafting delights. Fig and Smoked Chocolate are two eclair flavour on display that day. Interesting to see the purple fig dessert but sadly choux was a tad dry and while the fig cream has mild sweet taste I don't foresee myself paying for this again.
Heard good things about PIM PAM's churros, but I'd recommend ordering the fresh, hot ones instead of this one that's coated in white chocolate.
Since it had to chill with the choc on, it was a little denser than what I expected. Get the original Doodle Churro instead or their shiok Skinny Apple Tart. ๐
