My Daily Cuppa ๐
Minty mocha. Really nice and comforting. Tastes more chocolate than coffee though.
With the title "The World's Best Coffee Shop" given by Telegraph under their belts, you bet the java at The Coffee Academics is set to impress. The highly esteemed coffee joint from Hong Kong has set up its first international outpost in Singapore, serving espresso-based coffees. There are seven specially designed corners in the spacious cafe, each with its own purpose, like Cupping Corner and Hand Brew Bar. We love the Pepper Agave Latte ($7.50) โ cafe latte with raw agave nectar that cancels out the bitterness of the coffee, topped with freshly ground black pepper for that extra kick. Also worth returning for is the Globally Inspired Coffee ($8) โ original creations from 12 different countries that changes every month (May's Globally Inspired Coffee is a Citrus Espressoda from Portland).
Having moved from West Coast to a more spacious lot at Sunset Way, swing by The Tiny Roaster and sit at their alfresco area on a cool day โ it's great for catching up with your friends or family over a cup of Iced White Brew ($5). It is served in a uniquely-shaped triangular cup with an added espresso ice sphere to cool, not dilute, your coffee. For those looking to learn and appreciate coffee, sit by the coffee bar and bask in the beauty of gorgeous coffee brewing equipment as you watch the baristas hand brew a cup of coffee (from $6) for you. There are roasted and unroasted beans sold here too, alongside filters and drippers.
Love the creaminess from this one ($7) and the well balanced milk and coffee ratio - Super easy to drink! I rank this one if the top few in my cold brew list!!
If you like your coffee strong.
Only VERY limited quantity available. You better reserve a bottle with them first.
Coffee can be so cool and blue.
