Checked out this relatively new vegetarian eatery at Fortune Centre named Bodhi Deli — they serve up vegetarian variants of local fare such as Mee Pok, Lor Mee, Laksa, Mee Siam and Mee Rebus.

Ordered the Chicken Cutlet Noodles and this was amazingly convincing — that crispy batter of the exterior of cutlet while the "flesh" was pretty tender, replicating the texture of the meat pretty well with "fibers" and a bit of bite; savoury without tasting doughy or bean-y. The noodles are similar to Mee Pok; surprisingly "al-dente" and tossed with a good proportion of ketchup, sauce and chili for flavour. Possibly one of the best vegetarian renditions of Chicken Cutlet Noodles around (though I had never really had much of the dish); pretty impressed with the one here that was really convincing!

From Feng's Food; a new concept at Northpoint City that serves up Taiwanese fare at the basement of the new South Wing — its hidden within the F&B cluster where Gyoza-Ya, Pizza Maru, Curry Times and Malaysia Chiak! are located at. The menu features items largely similar to Taiwanese noodle bars and restaurants, though also serves smaller bowls meant for individual consumption such as the Hakka-style Braised Meat Rice Bowl.

Everything's good in this entire plate but if I had to pick one item to express my love with it would be the Specially Marinated Pork Chop; it's surprisingly tender; almost akin to a breakfast sausage patty but incredibly flavourful — savoury without any porky stench and a crisp, crusted exterior. Otherwise, the rice was enjoyable too — perfumes of egginess with every grain distinguishable from one another; would have preferred more wok hei, but it's just probably me wanting a really perfect rendition of this dish after all. Impressed!

This totally blown me away 😱 So so so so good! Absolutely no gamey taste but instead it was so awesome. Tenderly soft and juicy and flavorful. Maaaauak!

Like the Lebanese Fried Chicken, which stole hearts with its heady blend of za'atar spice and honey lemon; Sticky Curly Fries – a crisp, comforting mass of maple soy, sriracha, kewpie mayo – need I say more; and Crawfish Mac & Cheese (oh, the chunky, smoked bacon ❤️). What a glorious spread we had, but these are my top picks of the lot.

When it came to the sweet stuff, my spoon turned savage when it met the Durian and Mudslide Softie Pies – essentially soft serves perched on a crunchy tart base, festooned with all sorts of yummyness. In true #BurppleTastemaker style, despite bursting at the seams, we also made room for @fionatingx's soon-to-be-launched Ugnuts (portmanteau for ugly donuts), which are really, anything but. Fried chicken skin, hot sauce, honey buttercream – 'nuff said. More lyrical waxing to come in subsequent posts.

Throughout my pomfret-eating years, never would I have imagined it could taste this incredible, in all its crispy-skinned, buttery-fleshed glory. After a separate visit, same fish, with different accompaniments, there I was certain that it was no fluke—@bistronovember does food well (the comforting and the bold), but it does fishes like no other.

Epitome of cheap and good. You pay 90cents for a filling piece of hot, freshly off-the-pan chapati and pair it with meat curries ranging from $3-$4. Indian style vegetable sides are also available at$1-$2. The string of regulars patronizing this humble stall is testimony to the unpretentious taste and price. Looking for some legit Indian chapatis and curry? Look no further!

No wonder I find the comfortable & casual ambience familiar. Aren't you attracted by the slow roasted chicken being marinated for 24 hours & roasting slowly in the giant oven? The FIL-E-PLATE Salad Bar offers a wide spread & I only wish the plate could be bigger for the precious one serving😜Scroll to the last picture for the comprehensive menu😋

So this happened - Dukka-crusted lamb rack with tzatziki by yours truly thanks to the patience and well-guided instructions of Chef Terri-Anne @carrotsticksandcravings (check out her easy-to-follow cookbook!) and my favourite partner @riinns who saved me with her kitchen skills 😂 Can't cook for nuts but I feel less helpless now. The delish dukka - SO DARN GOOD with all the nutty fragrance of almonds and hazelnuts, spices like coriander and cumin seeds dry roasted to bring out the flavour (we couldn't stop dipping bread+olive oil into the dukka!!!) - is definitely something I'll be trying to replicate at home😛
And for someone who doesn't appreciate lamb for its gaminess, this was amazing - served atop a bed of rocket and tangy tzatziki of refreshing pomegranate; feta cheese and more feta cheese. Not only was the gaminess downplayed by the fragrant dukka crust and great complement of tzatziki, there wasn't much to start with as the lamb racks from @themeatclubsg is as fresh as it gets, air flown directly from Australia, selected so quality-guaranteed, packed and delivered without going on the shelves and most importantly, never frozen.
