TELOK AYER EATS

This single layer thick pancake with matcha ice cream and sauce was the epitome of MATCHA. I've never tasted a better, richer, more flavourful matcha sauce in my life. and hoshino's pancakes are consistently fluffy, never too dry.

Never trusted raw food until i gave Afterglow a chance. I had a lentil salad and a quinoa spinach burger that came with sweet potato fries. The Lentil Salad ($16) was a star of a salad, the freshness of the salad leaves made it crunchy, the lentils were soaked in a sweet orange juice that came with raisins, plus crispy dehydrated beetroot crackers! It was really filling. The Quinoa Spinach burger was light. Sandwiched between two crunchy lettuce leaves, the cashew "cheese" sauce was rlly mild yet addictive... but not enough. The sweet potato fries were awesome tho.... tasted like cumin/coriander spice which gave it a good twist. How this was prepared below 45degrees celsius.... i don't know. But if you're feeling generous with your wallet... give it a try!!!

Lady at the counter said this was one of they're best seller cakes. It was a really rich-dark-chocolate thing with GENEROUS shavings of sweet dark chocolate. Brownie was moist too. But kinda jelat eating all at one go...

A huge ass sandwich. Substantial amounts of grilled aubergine and red peppers all sweet and juicy. Balanced with a nice slatter of hummus and feta cheese, just nice for flavour and not overwhelming. Fresh af mesclun greens give the sandwich a crunch factor so all in all, the parts come together to make the body whole.

More expensive than A poké theory and limited choices of vegetables. The portion was also rather small, esp the amount of rice it was pretty little. Otherwise glad to have a vegetarian option of sesame marinated tofu that was quite tasty.

Sunny side up in a buttery brioche bun with cheddar and this amazing thing called PBD sauce that will make you jittery with ecstasy (really can't imagine what exactly is in that amazing sauce). Also there was bacon even tho I told them to remove the bacon for me :/ and more veg would do this buttery rich sandwich some good. That lettuce was really minimal...
