Fried rice paradise, babaaaay! 😋
Just a simple quick dinner option that never fails to satisfy. This cozy joint in east village serves up great grub at amazing prices! 💵
With good wok hei, flavour and separate grains, this normal looking plate of fried rice impressed. It even came in a portion almost big enough for two to share.

The third outlet of Mongkok Dim Sum (the other two are in Katong and Geylang) has ample seating and opens till 2am daily, making it the perfect venue for a fuss-free late night supper with a large group of friends. Just a minute's walk from Beauty World MRT Station on the Downtown line, Mongkok serves both dim sum and zi char dishes — so you can have the best of both worlds under one roof. Start with their silky smooth Steamed Rice Roll with Shrimp ($4) before digging into the Beef Horfun (from $6) and the Salted Egg and Butter Pork Ribs ($14) — both tasty, filling options that are great for sharing!

Finally a good dim sum place in the west and walking distance from Beauty World MRT, rejoice! What stood out amongst the usual (they have really good har gao, siew mai, beef hor fun, mee goreng) was their Lotus Leaf Rice ($4) fragrant, authentic flavors from steamed glutinous rice, lap cheong, shiitake mushroom, dried shrimps and moist chicken bits. The fam agreed it wasn't oily or mushy like the other lotus leaf we've had, 好!

Fancy some decent dim sum on a budget? Then look no further! This corner coffee shop serves quality stuff at about $3 a pop. Don't expect quality serve or ambience for this price point!
